Mississauga, Canada – The first Rawlings Concept Shop in Canada is now open in Mississauga, Ontario.
The concept store is the result of a partnership between BMF Retail (Burlington Merchandising & Fixtures), Rawlings and Home Run Sports. Hosted inside of the pre-existing Home Run Sports located at 1911 Dundas St. in Mississauga, the unique layout of the store allows for a wide range of Rawlings products to be displayed. The grand opening was held on April 23, 2016, during which the Toronto Blue Jay’s pitcher, R.A. Dickey, also made an appearance.
BMF and Rawlings worked very closely to create original fixtures to display the merchandise. These unique fixtures and merchandising exclusive to Rawlings provide the ultimate baseball pro shopping experience.
“We started working with BMF because we were looking for somebody to help us and guide us through the process,” says Randy Beatty, GM of Rawlings Canada.
BMF was able to design and create unique fixtures using a proprietary and innovative display system called Flexline. This system makes it easier for BMF to overcome merchandising challenges. Flexline parts are easily modified to create custom displays to showcase products in the most unique and eye-catching ways.
“The people at BMF guided us through the whole process from design to execution. We aren’t store designers, so it gave us an opportunity to look at all aspects of opening a store: the design, lighting, flooring, finishes and signage. They helped us get everything lined up from start to finish of the project and they were on time, worked with us through every step and answered any questions we had,” says Beatty.
