Overbrook Park Town Watch Group to Hold Community Meeting on Oct. 21


Political and Law Enforcement Leaders Join Residents of Overbrook Park to Discuss Strategies for Strengthening the Community


PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Overbrook Park Town Watch Group announced today that they will hold a community meeting on October 21 to discuss key concerns and matters of civic importance. Special guests will include Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams, 19th District Commanding Officer Captain Joseph Bologna and Bestselling Author and Psychologist Dr. Michael Broder.


The Overbrook Park Town Watch Group is a neighborhood community support program in partnership with local businesses, community leaders and law enforcement to create a safer, productive and vibrant community. During community meeting, members of Overbrook Park and invited guests will discuss education and investing in community schools, building stronger relationships between the community and law enforcement, beautification projects and afterschool and weekend workshops.


Our goal is to create and facilitate community programs, services and activities that will motivate, educate and empower the community,” said Darryl Day, president of the Overbrook Park Town Watch Group. “Our motto is ‘we are community strong’ and these types of meetings that foster dialog and action are essential to maintaining our strength and enhancing our quality of life.”


The Overbrook Park Town Watch Community Meeting will take place from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Haverford Court Apartment Building located at 7400 Haverford at the intersection of Malvern Avenue.
