In this book of wellness quotes and affirmations, Author and Speaker Tevonne Hemmans offer a consummate inspirational narrative that includes affirmations scaling the topics of career, self-confidence, overcoming fear, love, and abundance. One of the affirmations from Wealthy Soul reads, “I have all the skills and talent required to acquire the career I need.” Hemmans also adds wellness quotes from prominent people throughout the history of mankind such as Muhammad Ali, which whom he quotes, “What you’re thinking is what you’re becoming.”
Tevonne Hemmans was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to parents from the island of Jamaica. His dad worked as a contractor and his mom worked as an early childhood educator. During his elementary and high school years, he was mentored by uncles, who formerly worked for record companies.
During high school, he became established as a musical artist formerly known as T.E.V (The Educated Voice) and was featured on BET’s Rap City and on BET’s 106 & Park. After graduating from William E. Grady High School to the University of New Haven, he launched an Anti-Bullying school tour. The tour consisted of a peer mediation workshop and a motivational concert. The tour made a stop at Madison Square Garden and visited 30 schools in 4 states nationwide.
During 2015, Tevonne Hemmans created hand-painted fedora hats, branded with the name Tev Hemmans. Stores such as Vinnie’s Styles in Brooklyn and Gentleman’s Resale on the Upper Eastside of New York City sold the hats. Some years later, in June of 2019, Hemmans published his first book titled Artsy Life: A Book of Motivational Quotes. It contained a sum of experiences broken down into short quotes.
Following the publishing of Wealthy Soul in January of 2020, Hemmans spoke at Bloomsburg University, for the annual Sankofa Conference. Wealthy Soul is now available on barnesandnoble.com.
