Jackson County – As summer approaches, the county is gearing up for a major road preservation project. Columbia Chipseal, a leading contractor in the industry, has been contracted to chip seal six different roadways in Jackson County throughout the summer. With Jackson County doing the prep work on the two unpaved gravel roads Wagner & Keno. In addition to the chipseal paving of the unpaved gravel roads, Columbia Chipseal will also be resurfacing three existing roads Dutton, Stevens & Kirtland.
The county will be closing lanes to perform the work. However, to minimize disruptions, only one lane will be closed at a time, and traffic will be able to alternate in both directions. This work will cause travel delays. Travelers will want to plan for additional travel time and remember to bring along lots of extra patience.
