2019 Platinum Status Again for PADI Course Director Holly Macleod Gili Islands – Indonesia

PADI Course Director Holly Macleod

Another year passes in the Gili Islands and it’s another Industry training Award for PADI Course Director Holly Macleod. Receiving the Platinum Award is a direct representation of pure experience but is also a personal mark of quality of training provided.

Gili Trawangan, Indonesia

Over the course of 2018 Holly has issued over 544 PADI Instructor certifications making her amongst the highest certifying Instructor level trainer worldwide and therefore demonstrating a level of experience way beyond that generally found within the scuba Instructor training. To gain the Platinum Status Award a PADI Course Director need to have issued a minimum of 100 professional-level certifications in a year, at least 30 of which need to be at the Open Water or IDC Staff Instructor level, with an overall 70 percent or higher professional-level continuing education ratio.

There are many reasons for this particular program being quite so popular amongst professional divers within the industry. Of course, the pure unmatched quality of training is the first thing that springs to mind as the program itself has been purposely designed to prepare candidates for a realistic transition into working life rather than preparing them to pass their PADI Instructor examination providing new instructors with the essential skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed in any busy dive shop environment. Holly also has wealth of Industry experience spanning over approximately 20 years working in a whole range of different diving related jobs and within a variety of worldwide diving destinations around the globe and knows first hand exactly what new scuba diving instructors can expect from future employers and of course what employers will expect from them.

The program itself takes place on the Island of Gili Trawangan, Indonesia which is the largest and busiest of the three Gili Islands. The island itself is growing in tourism at a phenomenal rate, seeing more and more tourists as each year passes and of course as the tourism industry grows so does the requirement for professional Instructors. For those who are serious about starting out as a scuba diving Instructor the PADI IDC Gili Islands program is definitely the place to start giving professional divemaster’s the chance to take the next step with confidence in fact that they have received the absolute best possible training experience.
