A Story of Resilience and Redesign
Owners David and Bonnie purchased Wandering Moose in 2021 and transformed it through a complete renovation. In 2024, while unoccupied, the property was damaged by a fire caused by an electrical appliance. Rather than walking away, the couple took the setback as an opportunity to improve the property further.
“While the fire was devastating, it gave us the chance to reimagine Wandering Moose,” said David, co-owner of 42 North. “Bonnie, who leads the design, was able to refine every detail, making the home even better than before. Our goal is to make Wandering Moose the best short-term rental in Southern Vermont and a must-stay destination for travelers.”
In addition to the newly redesigned interiors, Wandering Moose is undergoing a major landscaping and pool project, including an impressive 11-foot stone retaining wall. These enhancements underscore the couple’s commitment to making the property a premier Vermont getaway.
