ATLANTA, GA – December 13, 2021 – AKA Studio, P.C., a fast-paced group of talented architects, planners, and interior designers, is expanding once again with the addition of two new Associates, Shailesh Kalyan and Shane Persaud. Shailesh, the founder and CEO of Studio 78, LLC has an extensive background in hospitality and multi-family projects across the USA and internationally. Shane Persaud, who launched his own design firm in 2005, merged just this past year with Studio 78 as a managing partner bringing with him his experience in healthcare, education, and the residential markets. Both their talents and experience combined with AKA Studio P.C.’s already established portfolio of restaurants, mixed use and retail, institutional, and interior design, allows the firm to increase its bandwidth by being able to offer a more diverse selection of services and architypes to their clients.

Despite the pandemic and its staff working remotely, AKA Studio P.C. grew exponentially in 2020. This latest addition takes AKA Studio’s employee count to 15 which is a significant increase from the four employees back in November 2019! Having outgrown its current location in Roswell, GA, Robert Zappulla and the rest of the staff are looking forward to moving into their new office space in Alpharetta which is currently under construction and nearing completion. The new space has the potential of housing over 30 employees, foreshadowing ownership’s vision of what is to come.

Robert Zappulla founded ARCLINE Studio in 2009 after transitioning from his employment with a reputable Atlanta based architectural firm. After developing a successful practice with a focus on commercial, office, residential, and restaurants, Robert was asked to re-join that firm in 2016 to oversee nationally recognized multi-use development projects. Soon after, in 2018, Robert and Arie Kohn’s paths crossed as Arie was in the process of preparing for a well-deserved retirement and the sale of his firm.
