Before 2001, whatever eyelashes you had, you had. There wasn’t such a thing as an eyelash growth serum, or booster.
That wasn’t until Allergan, Inc, a drug manufacturer, developed Lumigan as an eyedrop for glaucoma. During the period of their FDA approval in 2001, the eye doctors and patients noticed a side effect; their eyelashes were longer, and more luscious. They would eventually call this product Latisse.
This eye drop drug, and Latisse (prescription), use the active ingredient bimatroprost. This is the active that was shown to cause eyelash growth.
Other brands took notice and developed their own products, most notably MLM (multi-level marketing company) Rodan and Fields. You’ve probably seen a few of your Facebook friends hawking this product all over their Facebook walls, raving about how much their eyelashes have grown.
Rodan and Fields, as of April 2018, is facing a class-action lawsuit in which the plantiffs claim R&F “failed to disclose the harmful side effects linked to an ingredient in their Lash Boost product.”
That ingredient? Bimatroprost.
Peptide Based Eyelash and Eyebrow Growth Serum
DRMTLGY has launched their own Eyelash and Eyebrow growth serum, under the brand name Besito. This formula is recommended by thousands of dermatologists and plastic surgeons nationwide.
It is a safe and effective way to make those eyebrows and lashes grow. Not to mention, it is about 80% less than the R&F Lash Boost and Latisse, which can only be obtained by a prescription.
