The music feels timeless and there is something quite special about how Anna Rejda is able to tell a story in the form of a song. “Nice ‘N’ Easy” is classy, yet really fun, with Anna being able to add a playful and sultry dimension to her performance. She has a bright vocal style, with enough presence to cut through the mix. Yet, she also has a lot of warmth in her vocal range, adding to the intimacy and emotion of her singing style. The musicianship here is totally undeniable. In addition, the quality of the production is really outstanding, giving the song a very refreshing modern sound that enables all the nuances of the music to stand out.
Like with some of the best contemporary jazz records, “Nice ‘N’ Easy” is all about offering a smooth, accessible sound that still retains a high level of sophistication. In other word, this is jazz music that even people who are not deeply involved within the jazz music scene could so easily appreciate. You don’t need to have a music degree to appreciate what is playing and simply some great music performed by passionate people!
