Organisation supports and promotes women in the automotive industry
June 9, 2021; United Kingdom – The Women Automotive Network will host Diversity Panel on 22nd at the virtual 2021 Summit. The group’s aim is to create a network for passionate automotive professionals who are inspired to change the dynamics of the industry, supporting women in the industry, and promoting diversity.
The third annual Women Automotive Summit will bring together more than 500 industry representatives from over 30 countries. The Diversity Panel will start at 15:20, June 22nd with speakers: Kylie Jimenez, Vice President, People & Innovation, Toyota Motor Europe; Shelley Zalis, CEO, The Female Quotient, USA; and John Whalen, Senior Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Catalyst Inc.
The panel will discuss a number of items centred around the topic of diversity in the automotive industry. Some of the areas that will be covered include moving from conversation to action, the business case for gender equality and how gender-diverse teams are more profitable and innovative, whilst looking at post-pandemic workplace opportunities for women. Attendees are invited to participate and discuss with these experts in the automotive field about how to diversify the industry further.
Other industry leaders to speak at the event include Linda Jackson, Global CEO, PEUGEOT & Member of Top Executive Team, Stellantis; Inga Maurer, Partner, McKinsey & Company, Chicago, USA; Dr. Christiane Zorn, Head of Product Marketing, AUDI AG; Josephine Payne, President Ford of Romania and Craiova Site Director, Ford Motor Company; and Angie Gifford, Vice President of Central Europe, Facebook. Guests will be able to hear from some of the top executives in the world of business all in one place.
