B.T. The Artist continues incredible rise in hip-hop with latest music video for the song, “Different”

Boston-based rapper uses music to make a difference by donating money to socially conscious non-profit organizations

Boston, MA – B.T. The Artist has enjoyed a mercurial rise in the hip-hop community thanks to fast rhymes and hypnotic beats. Now, B.T. The Artist is turning heads once more with his latest music video for the song, “Different”. The anime video is a fresh take on hip-hop music videos and something rarely seen in the genre. Visuals for the video were designed by Ayakashi and portray dark, sinister characters with B.T. The Artist’s lyrics laid over the top of them.

“Different” features Chef Ried as the duo rap about not needing jewelry and instead “saving that money” to lift their family “outta da pain”. The song’s lyrics, and the corresponding video, are – as the song title says – different. While most hip-hop artists rap about money, jewelry, cars, and women, B.T. The Artist offers up something far more socially conscious that everyone can relate to. In an era of Black Lives Matters, it shows that hip-hop can be more serious than what is often portrayed on MTV and major radio. Perhaps one of the best aspects of “Different” is that the song is fast-paced and doesn’t linger long. It leaves listeners wanting more. It isn’t saturated with the same hook over and over again wearing out its welcome.

Born Bryanne Toney, B.T. The Artist’s material offers a breath of fresh air to music fans bored of the usual bluster and bravado produced by rappers. His messages are positive and inspirational. Yet, the inspiration isn’t about going out and taking material possessions by any means necessary. The message is about working hard to achieve dreams.

In 2019, B.T. The Artist released the Better Days EP. He donated 50% of the proceeds made from the EP to The BASE. The BASE is a non-profit organization that uses baseball to change the lives of urban youth through playing the game. Toney’s work with The BASE shows just how important community is to him as it is the community that helped him develop into the person he is today.

Since the release of Better Days, B.T. The Artist has released further material which can be listened to on Spotify. “Different” is currently the rising hip-hop star’s most streamed track. If he continues to produce gems with catchy rhymes along the same lines of “Different”, then more fans of hip-hop are bound to discover B.T. The Artist.

B.T. The Artist wedding generated more than one million hits, showing how popular he is, and how he has managed to grab his fans attention.
