The law firm has established ‘Closings for a Cause’, a noble initiative through which it donates a portion of the fees it earns from real estate closings to assist various local charities. Each month is devoted to help one chosen charity, and for the month of April 2019, funds will be donated to the Horry County Literacy Council.
Clemmons Law Firm has chosen the Horry County Literacy Council for donating a portion of its fees in the month of April because they provide free one-on-one literacy tutoring and reading lessons for members of the community between the ages of 7 and 80. They also have special research programs for children and adults with learning disabilities like dyslexia. Since gaining 501(c)3 status as a non profit in 1981, Horry County Literacy Council has worked not only with an army of community volunteers but also with other community organizations to help people learn English As A Second Language, get their G.E.D., or read the bible…among other literacy initiatives.
In March of 2019 Clemmons Law Firm donated to Bethesda Home for Single Mothers and next month, May 2019, they will contribute to The Coastline Women’s Center. With this initiative, the law firm is giving a helping hand to local community services and will regularly update on new donations given in coming months.
