Dakar, Senegal & New York, USA – DIORLOMAKEUP, the innovative skincare and makeup brand inspired by the rich culture and beauty of Senegal, proudly announces the conclusion of The Next Face of DIORLOMAKEUP contest. The contest ended on July 30th at midnight GMT, and we are thrilled to reveal the winner: Amina Diaw from Senegal.
Amina, a bright and ambitious young lady who recently graduated middle school, demonstrated remarkable determination by rallying her entire family and community to vote for her. She expressed immense pride and joy in winning the contest, stating that it was a dream come true, one she never thought she could achieve. Amina is over the moon, sharing her excitement on social media and celebrating with the DIORLOMAKEUP team, friends, and family.
The runner-up, Marieme-Soda, who just graduated high school, shared that the contest boosted her confidence and deepened her love for makeup. She is honored to be an ambassador for a brand that celebrates Senegal’s beauty and heritage.
The contest went viral on Instagram, with thousands of supporters rallying behind their favorite candidates. Ms. Lo, the founder and creative mind behind DIORLOMAKEUP, expressed her gratitude and surprise at the overwhelming positive response and support. She emphasized that the outpouring of love from all walks of life was profoundly touching and inspiring, reinforcing her commitment to celebrating her heritage.
Future Plans:
DIORLOMAKEUP will host a celebratory photoshoot with top makeup artist Mamart Collection and renowned photographer Amos Photography. This event will feature all 30 contestants, including the chosen muse, five brand ambassadors, and the remaining candidates. Each participant will have the opportunity to collaborate with DIORLO Consulting Talent Division, ensuring that everyone wins and receives coaching and guidance to pursue careers in modeling, acting, or as influencers.
