Dr. Kim Cliett Long, Executive Director of the Lowcountry Rice Culture Project has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH)

Patron of the RSPH: Her Majesty The Queen, the Chairman, and the Council of the Royal Society for Public Health hereby announce and proclaim to the general public that Dr. Kim Cliett Long has agreed to abide by the Royal Society for Public Health’s Code of Conduct and has submitted proof of academic and professional achievements, and has thus been elected: fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and is hereby entitled to use the designation

F.R.S.P.H and to enjoy all of the benefits that apply to the designation.

Dr. Long is the Executive Director of the Lowcountry Rice Culture Project, which was formed in 2010 as a clearinghouse and alliance builder for activities that investigate, uncover, and recover the southern Lowcountry rice legacy’s common cultural inheritance. The arts, history, culture, and education are the core focuses of the organization and how these core areas intersect the health and well-being of the dependents of West Africans, the Gullah Geechee people, is a primary research area.

The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) is an independent campaigning and educational foundation committed to improving and safeguarding people’s health in the United Kingdom and across the world. Incorporated by Royal Charter in 1856, the Royal Society for Public Health is one of the oldest and most auspicious public health organisations in the world.

Thousands of healthcare professionals, food safety experts, artists and art patrons, environmental health experts, lawmakers, professors, students, and others from all walks of life make up their membership, all of whom are dedicated about safeguarding the public’s health. They are also the UK’s main OFQUAL/CCEA and Qualifications Wales-regulated public health qualifications organization. Hundreds of thousands of RSPH-qualified professionals perform critical jobs in communities around the country every day, quietly and without fanfare.
