Epiphan’s new Pearl Nano encoder ships to customers February 26, 2021

Palo Alto, CA – February 04, 2021 – Get ready for Pearl Nano to take the live video streaming and recording community by storm. This new addition to the Pearl family of hardware encoders starts shipping February 26, 2021.

“There’s a huge demand for this product,” says Epiphan product manager Greg Quirk. “A lot of customers have already pre-registered for early access to Nano and they won’t be disappointed.”

A perfect addition to the Pearl family of hardware encoders, Pearl Nano fits the niche of a smaller, single-channel version of our Pearl encoders with a long list of features at an attractive price point.

“Pearl Nano offers more features than other hardware encoders in its class,” says Dave Kirk, VP of Marketing at Epiphan. “It’s built upon the same foundation as the larger Pearl-2 and Pearl Mini models, so customers can expect the same ease of use and rock solid reliability that Pearl products are known for.”

Pearl Nano offers features like a front screen confidence monitor and control panel for easy, on-device setup and control, a custom layout builder for creative layouts, support for modern streaming protocols like SRT, MPEG-DASH, and HLS, pro XLR line inputs, a comprehensive set of diagnostic tools, full integration with CMSs Kaltura and Panopto, plus many other features.

Kirk explains, “We are introducing a single-channel streaming and recording encoder that has the calibre of features needed to integrate with even the most sophisticated video setups.”
