Newark, NJ – Prominent Al-Islam advocate Imam Alfred Mohammed is set to lead a groundbreaking public relations campaign aimed at enhancing the prominence of Al-Islam within the African American community. The campaign focuses on eradicating intra-community violence, instilling a sense of sacred responsibility, and cultivating a renewed sense of patriotism in the United States.
Imam Mohammed’s primary mission is to serve as the authoritative spokesperson for Al-Islam in the African American Renaissance. The campaign addresses critical issues, including the resurgence of African American Islam, advocating for an end to violence within the community, and promoting responsible behavior in areas such as family, education, finance, culture, and government. This initiative is positioned to contribute significantly to the revitalization of African American Islam.
As a key component of this impactful campaign, Imam Mohammed will serve as the keynote speaker at the annual Savior’s Day, a prominent African American Muslim holiday initiated by the community itself. Divergent from the efforts of Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam, this separate initiative seeks to explore the resurgence of African American Islam and its role in the community’s renewed identity.
Highlighting the campaign’s importance, Imam Mohammed will deliver his inaugural speech on March 1st at the historic Masjid Mohammed, located at 255 South Orange Avenue, Newark, NJ. The center is a crucial Muslim center known as “twenty-five” for being the twenty-fifth temple established with the largest Muslim population in the country. This event marks a pivotal moment in the resurgence of African American Islam, emphasizing the growing significance of Al-Islam in the African American community.
Imam Mohammed’s speech at Masjid Mohammed will center on the prophet Mohammed as the model for human society. Other topics to be addressed include pressing issues, such as recovering the psychology pre-slavery and pre-the disconnection associated with disco and rap music. The campaign aims to shift focus away from these influences, placing a stronger emphasis on building family life and improving the life expectancy of marriages within the African American community.
This initiative, centered on Al-Islam in the African American Community, signifies a transformative period in the African American Renaissance. Imam Alfred Mohammed’s commitment to positive change and community development aligns with the broader resurgence of African American Islam, fostering a renewed sense of identity and purpose.
