CONYERS, GA – October 18, 2021 – Celebrity Chef, Author and Owner of Nana’s Chicken N Waffles, Kelli Ferrell, is tapping into the new concept of National Chicken and Waffles Day with a special treat for first responders.
Chicken and Waffles is a classic meal that originated in the Rural South over 150 years ago; However; it was only in 2021 that a National Day was established to celebrate this delicious pairing on October 20. But it’s not just about food. National Chicken and Waffles Day is also dedicated as a day of service and volunteerism.
In recognition of this food holiday, Ferrell is hosting a grand celebration at Nana’s Chicken N Waffles which includes a complimentary traditional Chicken and Waffles for first responders. This event will also feature music, a live DJ, giveaways and food specials from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

When asked about the motivation for offering complimentary chicken and waffles to first responders, Ferrell, explained: “First responders are such an important part of our community.
