Only a few individuals, who have suffered in their life come forward to share the life experiences that taught them many lessons. One such individual is Kimber Leigh. In her book, Greta Gar BITCH, she has revealed her own life story.
As a young girl, she grew up in a family with many financial and other issues. At this tender age, she endured emotional and physical abuse fueled by her mother’s drugs, sex, and alcohol addiction. With this severity of abuse faced by her family and her siblings, two of the youngest children were forced into self-destruction; suicide. They felt that it was their only way out six months apart from the other.
In the following six months, her mother also opted for self-destruction by ingesting a gallon of vodka a day along with a wide range of prescription medicines. Her mother’s loss left the family in their darkest hours. At the age of seven, Kimber Leigh heard stories told by her grandfather about the famous Hollywood actress from the 1930s, Greta Garbo.
Kimber’s grandfather told her that when she grows up, she will grow up to be like Greta Garbo. Before her mother passed away, Kimber shared with her what her grandfather had told her about being a famous actress like Greta Garbo. But, her mother replied, “Sweetheart, you will never be anything but a Bitch.” This motivated Kimber to write Greta Gar~BITCH.
