UNITED KINGDOM – Continuing the story of high-stakes espionage and 24/7 action, Seba’s world hasn’t slowed down since his delivery of a deadly weapon to Lagos, Nigeria. In this second instalment of Tom Lash’s ‘The Courier’ crime thriller trilogy readers catch up with this unlikeliest of action heroes who is entangled in a high-octane nightmare overflowing with revenge, FBI conspiracies and a gunrunner’s mayhem. If you’re a fan of 007, suspense thrillers and a good dose of revenge, Late Fury will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Published on 14th August 2024, Late Fury continues to immerse readers in the chaos and dark underbelly of the courier’s commission that swiftly rides on a harrowing journey across four continents.

Never taking his foot off the adrenaline pedal, fans of all things fast and furious will unite in savouring the tangled web of criminality and transgressions that leap from every page of Tom Lash’s second instalment of his ‘The Courier’ trilogy.

Introducing a new depth to his protagonist, the courier, Seba, the author once again delivers a suspense-laden rollercoaster of a literary ride which brims with all those elements (murder, deception and espionage and more) that made book one – Hell Road – such a compelling read. He has also gone to great lengths to ensure that his sequel can be read as a standalone novel. As he says: “The reading experience is made all the more interesting if the first book, Hell Road, is read after Late Fury – as it sets the stage for the third and final instalment of The Courier trilogy.”

Delivering an addictive narrative that teeters on the edge of plausibility, Tom Lash’s eloquent and descriptive writing style makes him an exciting new addition to the thriller genre.  And like all great works of fiction, this latest instalment leaves all that pick up a copy speculating how this page-turner will ultimately conclude.

Synopsis:

When the FBI discovers that Seba, the courier, was covered up, Ted is forced to make amends by getting him to turn on his former boss. At the same time, Linda, the journalist, during a conference, finds herself held by the hand of compromise.

Meanwhile, the gruesome murder of a college sophomore ignites a wave of terror. In the pursuit of vengeance, Max, the gunrunner, uses the full might of his machinery to get back at the embodiment of treachery. The aftermath is a horrendous bloodbath.

Here’s the cinematic book trailer that indeed invokes the mood of a blockbuster movie.

Praise of Tom Lash’s first novel in The Courier Trilogy, Hell Road includes:

“A story line that takes you through corruption and plot twist on the African context. The political plans of a corrupt senator with his fingers in too many pies and collaboration with terrorists. Is a book that once started is hard to put it down with many “heart attacks” moments. It would make perfect scenario for a blockbuster Hollywood film.” – B W – Amazon UK

“Exotic locations. Intriguing characters. Deception. Danger. Espionage and counterespionage. Political extremism and corruption. Gun fights. Car chases. Secret meetings. And love. “Hell Road: The Courier has all these ingredients for an exciting thriller…and more. The plot is interesting, with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader involved. The characters are diverse and fully developed. I enjoyed the descriptions of the settings in Nigeria and Cuba. At first, I found the florid prose to be somewhat distracting, but I quickly adjusted and eventually found it compelling. “I enjoyed this book that took me into an exciting world of intrigue, with a main plot that is both astounding yet believable in these times. Get ready for a thrill ride with the courier as you go barrelling towards Hell Road.” – Robert A Karl – Amazon USA

“If you love thrillers, you’ll thoroughly enjoy Hell Road. It has so many twists and turns, it’ll have your head spinning. It was an engaging, on the edge of your seat kind of book. The only thing I would say was a bit daunting for me is the over usage of details and words, but so worth it. Overall, I would recommend. It’s a book you won’t want to put down.” – M Marie Walker – Amazon USA
