LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – DECEMBER 13, 2019 – Cedric Chevalley, Swiss jewelry-designer sensation, has just purchased a studio-gallery in Santa Monica, California where he is set to display his revolutionary designs.
This will be the first time Chevalley is working from a permanent location in the United States, and his globally recognized work is definitely expected to disrupt the jewelry industry as a whole. Chevalley is known internationally for as the founder of Cbijou, a high-end brand of custom-designed engagement rings and wedding rings, and is also known as the founder of his namesake brand, Cedric Chevalley. Under Cedric Chevalley, he produces sculptural pieces made from upcycled and reclaimed materials.
“I’ve never been one to take the easy road out,” Chevalley says. “I like using unexpected materials to create unforgettable effects.”
Unlike other designers in the jewelry industry, Chevalley not only uses more traditional materials like precious gems and metals, but also uses materials that are difficult to work with and that are entirely unique to his brands.
At Cbijou, Chevalley utilizes tantalum and titanium to create his signature designs. These materials reflect his dedication to his artistry, and also offer one-of-a-kind elements that make these pieces stand out against the backdrop of more traditional designs. Additionally, the process in which Cbijou rings are made is entirely different: Chevalley speaks to each of his clients individually, and undergoes a collaborative process to yield entirely customized designs.
Similarly, at Cedric Chevally, he uses upcycled wood from the decks of previously-owned skateboards to make statement pieces that have been featured in exhibitions across the world. Chevalley’s studio gallery will open in the beginning of 2020

Cedric Chevalley is a Swiss artist who has created one-of-a-kind, contemporary jewelry pieces since 2001.
