We had the good fortune of connecting with Liza Boubari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liza, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My journey in the field of hypnotherapy and alternative healing began when I was overwhelmed and under a lot of pressure and stress. Because I was not in tuned and ignored myself and body, I had not yet realized the impact stress was having on my mental and emotional being. My body created ovarian cysts which forced me to seek help. I was scheduled to undergo a third surgery for the cysts when the HR director of the law firm I worked then referred me to an acupuncturist, who in turn, referred me to a hypnotherapist.
It was then, through hypnotherapy, that I discovered the tragic reality of why my body was creating the incessant ovarian cysts. I guess it was time to heal some deep-rooted trauma that had manifested into physical pain. This connection with my body and understanding the core cause was the healing that made the third surgery no longer necessary.
This powerful experience with the science of hypnosis changed the course of my career and led me to discover my true purpose of helping others learn and heal within. It is now over 20 years that I have been dedicated to working with people, especially women, who are ready to make changes in their lives for the better.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey and success of healing through these sessions, plus passion and curiosity to learn and discover the science of the mind-body connection was what led me to a full-time commitment to the science and healing art of– Mind-Body Connection.
In 1999 I founded HealWithin, Inc., a Healing Center for Mind-Body Therapy that has been growing since.
I am extremely effective hypnotherapist, resourcing the clinical hypnosis and therapeutic training and my natural inclination, to empower and guide my clients through trauma and challenging habits and experiences.
Although my expertise and joy are working in women’s health and wellness, and youth, I work with all levels of humanity, making each session unique and powerful. I pride myself to treat each person as a whole and not only the issues they come in for. Clear communication, sensitivity, and compassion, with skill and strategy are key.
Many of our clients return to continue their journey of empowerment, healing and personal growth.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Los Angeles and think there is so much to explore here. Most come to LA for the obvious, its glam, the beaches in Santa Monica, and Malibu, or the stars in Beverly Hills or Hollywood Blvd and Chinese Theater.
Depending on their interest, I’d take them to walk around The Americana on Brand and visit The Brand Library in Glendale. Walk the beautiful trails surrounding our city. Go to The Norton Simon Museum, and the Huntington Library, and tour the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. And of course, explore an array of middle eastern and international culinary restaurants… to name a few!

I’ve had the privilege to study with the renowned Gil Boyne and Dr. John Butler, Master Hypnotherapist, and served on of the most prestigious boards in my field The Executive Board of the American Council of Examiners.
Today, I am well known for my “HealTalk Tuesdays with Liza” – interactive healing and empowering talks on FaceBook and growing my podcast and Live interviews on Liza.TV.
I am honored to have co-authored two books that hit Amazon’s Best Seller. 1Habit-For Entrepreneurial Success and “Powerful Female Immigrants” – and soon to publish yet another collaborative book by Michael D.
