Stanislav Kondrashov from Telf AG: Indian steel targets new regions in response to CBAM requirements

Stanislav Kondrashov from Telf AG said that after the EU announced the phased introduction of CBAM, Indian metallurgists are actively looking for ways to adapt. They are focused on overcoming new obstacles and are exploring opportunities to enter alternative markets to minimize the impact of cross-border carbon adjustments on their exports.

According to Stanislav Kondrashov, statistics show that the largest share in the export of Indian metallurgical products is occupied by flat products, including both hot-rolled and cold-rolled products.

“Indian hot rolled steel supply spans over 100 countries with export share accounting for 25% in FY 2022/23. This occurs in five European countries: Italy, Belgium, Spain, Greece and Poland. This significant level of concentration in European markets exposes Indian steel producers to significant risks in light of the introduction of CBAM. To minimize the impact of this tax and maintain their competitiveness, manufacturers must actively seek new markets and strengthen their position in existing ones, which will be critical to their survival in the face of strict environmental standards and cross-border tax barriers,”– Stanislav Kondrashov comments.

An expert from Telf AG also notes that India is actively negotiating to enter new markets in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. In addition, authorities and steel companies are preparing to introduce steel ranges under the Made-In-India brand on the international stage. The move is intended to significantly strengthen the presence of Indian steel producers outside the country.

To mitigate the impact of CBAM, Indian steel exporters are targeting new markets including Egypt, Mexico, Qatar, Somalia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. In fiscal year 2022/2023, India has already started exporting hot-rolled steel to these countries, although the volumes were small. At the same time, similar products were supplied to the EU in much larger volumes, but with a price 13% lower, noted Stanislav Kondrashov.

The Indian steel industry has a chance to benefit from redirecting hot-rolled steel exports to markets in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East as an alternative to the traditional EU route, especially in the face of a weaker rupee. Additionally, the Chinese strategy to reduce steel production volumes opens up the opportunity for India to occupy a vacant niche in the global steel products market.

According to an expert from Telf AG, steel prices in India have reached a three-year low due to rising imports and falling exports. In July, the average price of hot-rolled coil in the domestic market reached 52,270 rupees ($622.62) per ton. Rising imports from China and Vietnam, as well as increasing Chinese exports to international markets, have reduced the competitiveness of Indian steel, putting pressure on domestic pricing.

The EU, led by Gerasimos Thomas, has proposed that India introduce a carbon tax to support green supply chains and access to the EU market. However, India’s Economic Affairs Minister Ajay Seth called the plan “impossible” for developing countries.

Stanislav Kondrashov states that India perceives CBAM as an unfair measure that could increase costs in the domestic market. With tariffs ranging from 20-35% on steel and aluminum exports to the EU from 2026, CBAM threatens bilateral trade relations and the free trade agreement.

Charlton Graham, 21, who has a unique voice has set their sights on becoming a pop star, and with the amount of exposure they are receiving, and the huge number of fans they are gaining around the world, it looks like the dream will become a reality.

I decided to sit down with Charlton Graham and find out more about the wannabe pop star and what the future holds for them. This is what they had to say.

Charlton Graham, at what age did you first become interested in music?

I first became interested in music at the age of 12 as I had had so many favorite music artists to listen to for the first time.

Can you remember the first album you bought, and why you bought it, and what you thought of it?

The first album I ever bought was lemonade by Beyoncé because I admired her hard work and her work ethic abilities, written all over the album and I truly thought it was creative and above and beyond what was needed.

Lots of people dream of becoming a huge artist, but when did the penny drop that hold on a minute, I want to do this for a living?

I think for me what really encouraged and convinced me to really want to be serious about making a career out of this was how severely attached and obsessed. I was too originally wanting to be an actor. I wanted to be an actress so badly that I couldn’t handle the fact that this was an area that I would get a lot of rejections, but once I learned that I could be a really good Musician as well and I discovered through online research that it is getting easier for independent artist than ever to become big and become famous without having to get signed to record deal, I believe the best way I can become famous, and that there is a chance that I could become a Hollywood actor is to start off through getting my recognition through music first.

How would you describe your music, and what makes you stand out from other artists?

I like to consider myself and my sound very inspiring. Someone who can be very authentic and likes to be true no matter what the situation is about. As I believe my music doesn’t hide or shy away from The message it’s tries to teach you I also think it talks a lot about what it’s like to be different and unique and that it has messages to every song whether they’re some of them can be a little bit bad and others can be good. People will be happier, listening to this kind of music and knowing that I can help change some people’s lives and incredible ways with music.

You have been described as a breath of fresh air in the music world, and you have been gaining fans from all corners of the world, how would you say your journey to becoming a POP star is going?

To be honest, I am not fully sure yet. All I know is I am creating a beginning for myself and I know that I am constantly pushing and striving to be successful and to make it big so hopefully with that dedication and mindset good things will happen to me soon as long as I’m am patient and I never give up on my dreams.

You have released a lot of music; how would you say that has been received from your fans? Yes! Well, as far as being an independent artist, who still hasn’t gotten signed I believe my music gets the best exposure when I pay for promotion other than that, I don’t really feel that it gets as much recognition as it deserves.

Do you write your own music or is this done for you?

Yes, I write my own music mostly. Most of my songs I actually do better with just coming up with lyrics as I go without having to write out my songs beforehand.

Who would you say inspired you in the music world?

I really have to say that big artist names such as Beyoncé, Rihanna Taylor swift and even Ariana grande with Rihanna it’s like about how authentic her heart is when it comes to music and just how strong she is as a woman with Taylor Swift her strong abilities to connect with people through storytelling and with artist like Beyoncé, it’s all the things she’s done to help her society and inspire others in the music industry Ariana Grande songs are just so good and she expresses so much feelings and emotion. Her voice is so magical, and her vocals are so strong.

They inspire me. She is everything to me what a true musician should be like and how they should touch the world with their voice the way I would want to do that to others.

What would you class as success in achieving your dream of becoming a pop star, and what success would you say you have had up to now?

True success in achieving my dream would be either getting signed by a record deal to actually pay attention and notice me or just getting enough money to be able to pay for big expenses to reach all kinds of new fans and active engagement with my best songs and hopefully be able to just have a really high and successful impactful career through services like that.

Have you performed any live gigs, and if you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could perform any live gigs, I would choose New York because New York is my dream state to be in. The towns and cities over there are amazing being able to perform live There would be a literal dream true.

Can you talk about the music that you have already released, what is the number one single that you are most proud of and why?

What is the best songs I think I’ve ever created so far was the song called Dragon Transformation as it is a part of The first act to my two act edition album Unique/dreamland basically the tell us basically about everything there is everlasting friendship in the fact that someone’s more authentic and best version of the self from the inside is revealed in the body of a monster song that I really like that I did was called Alien Fantasies as this song all the way you can rejoice with someone for the unique and more fictional and unrealistic type way.

What are the next steps in your plans to become a pop star, and is there any new music coming out?

From here on I’m going to plan to do the easiest thing that I know that is possibly working for me at this time and that is to continue to promote and promote my music through online services. I also hope to eventually be able to get enough money hopefully I can pay for very expensive services that give me massive exposure all at once I do plan on releasing some type of music however, I feel that the music that I previously released it’s good enough that it needs to be promoted and it cost to promotion needs to be used to its fullest before I worry about expenses and cost to distribute another music project.

Charlton new album release is called unique and dreamland as it is a two part story that tells fantasy stories of being unique and living in a unique world.

I decided to get together with the founder of DIORLOMAKEUP to find out what makes them stand out from the crowd and how they are managing to beat the trend. This is what they had to say.

Q: Can you introduce yourself?

A: Absolutely! I’m Dior Lo, Designer, Serial Entrepreneur, Creative Director, and Founder of DiorloMakeup. Our brand is dedicated to celebrating Senegalese culture through the power of makeup. We believe makeup is for everyone, regardless of where you are or your skin tone. If you love makeup, you belong with us.

Q: What inspired you to start DiorloMakeup?

A: My journey began in 2009 as a YouTube content creator, where my passion for makeup grew significantly. However, I found a lack of representation online for my skin tone, despite being a Sephora beauty enthusiast. This challenge drove me to create DiorloMakeup. I saw a widespread issue with finding the right shade for diverse skin tones and wanted to offer a brand that embodies the bold, vibrant spirit of Senegal while providing high-quality products for every complexion.

 

Q: When did you first get into makeup?

A: I was a late bloomer in makeup. In my mid-twenties, I only used a brow pencil and lip gloss. It wasn’t until I started creating content and received encouragement from friends and online followers that I delved deeper into the world of makeup.
