QT Series Creator Tamieka Briscoe Set To Begin Production on QT Spin-Off

Pilot Briscoe to take the series into a post-quarantine world and give QT a new look

Los Angeles, CA – April 12, 2021 – Created by Tamieka Briscoe, Writer and Director of QT, will begin production on the spin-off pilot of the original series. The scripted series explores the personal and professional lives of millennials residing in Los Angeles during the 2020 global pandemic. The first two seasons of QT’s are now streaming on Spiral TV on the Roku app.

During the global pandemic of 2020, Briscoe wrote, cast, produced and directed QT. The series was filmed remotely while adhering to social media guidelines. QT offers a fresh perspective about life and love during a period of quarantine.

“It has been a wonderful journey. Using remote technology, we were able to produce two seasons of this groundbreaking series”, says Briscoe. “Because of the show’s success in the current format, we’re looking to take the show to the next level by filming a spin-off pilot this spring.”

The producers of QT have launched a hugely successful crowdfund campaign to raise $40,000 in 40 days. The campaign has raised over $12,000 from their loyal fanbase, and industry insiders who support Briscoe and the entire QT team. The team has utilized the Clubhouse app to spread the word and activate the filmmaking community successfully.
