Special Needs Photographer, and Johnstown Family Photographer, Kristie Allbritten, Serving Greeley, Loveland, and Northern CO, Opens Up About Her Passion For Helping Families Capture Moments That Last

Recent polls have been taken on social media asking photographers to explain their approach and discuss why their the best fit for families, and families with special needs children and what makes them the best choice for hiring for great portraits, and we recently caught up to Special Needs Photographer, Kristie Allbritten, a family photographer in Johnstown, Colorado who also takes exceptional headshots and helps people capture the moments and memories that last, and we asked her a few questions about why people in Northern Colorado should choose her for family portraits, children photography and more, and here was our short Q&A session recap:

“What makes you a great Johnstown family photographer?”

“In a market where there are some very talented photographers the piece that makes me stand out is my dedication to the experience. Photography is not just about great images, it is about planning the perfect location, assisting with wardrobe choices and balancing the time so there is a good representation of posed and candid moments. I am constantly learning and educating myself on new lighting techniques and striving to bring a fun and safe atmosphere to each and every session. I am an extrovert my nature and my passion are people. I adore meeting new friends and bringing out the best qualities in front of the camera.”

“What is your specialty and why?”

“My photography specialty is Special Needs Families. Families that can benefit from an expert in compassion and dignity. I enjoy working with families that can appreciate a professional that also lives and breathes transition times, social stories and front loading. I have a son who has special needs and that means that I naturally combine my role as a special needs Mom and a Johnstown Family Photographer into a career that allows me to give excellent customer service and timeless photos.

“What is your unique approach to family photography?”

“My unique approach to family photography in Johnstown or anywhere else in NoCo like Loveland, or Greeley, is seeing the simplicity of everyday life and making candid moments into images that bring deep emotions to life. I allow the children to be the boss of the shoot and only prompt after they begin to feel comfortable with my style of direction. I also really adore kids. I relate to them and want them to be that sunburst of light that their parents see in them, in front of my lens for everyone to see too. Each photo in the session tells a story and you know the saying that a picture says a thousand words, well only if you know how to tell the story right and I believe that I do.”

“What is your unique approach to headshot photography?”

“My unique approach to headshot photography in Johnstown CO, is giving my clients room to be themselves. We spend the first few minutes talking about what to expect and how I will coach them every step of the way through the session. I provide a variety of prompts and bring out their style and highlight their personality through my words of affirmation. I see people for who they were created to be, and a good headshot photographer takes pictures of things they like, and I like people. I especially like portraits. I seek beauty.”

“What should people do if they want to contact you with questions about Johnstown family photography, or a new photo shoot or session for a special needs family, or for a business and professional headshot session?”

“I love talking to people on the phone! This allows me to hear and visualize your vision for our time together. If gives us the time to collaborate on what you want your session to represent so when we meet in person, we already feel like friends. I am also available for consultations over email too.“
