Suicide Crisis has Minister Telling His Personal Story with Suicidal Thoughts

New Book Has Tools that Have Helped Him and Can Help Others

Paramus, NJ (USA) – August 11, 2020. Local Interfaith (All-Faiths) Minister and author
Rev. Oreste J. D’Aversa has released his new book about his personal lifelong struggle with suicidal thoughts (Suicidal Ideation) amid the world-wide crisis of suicide. Suicide is a major public health problem and a leading cause of death in the United States. The effects of suicide go beyond the person who acts to take his or her life: it can have a lasting effect on family, friends, and communities.

The global suicide statistics are staggering just in the United States alone the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) states that; “Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US for all ages” and “Every day, approximately 123 Americans die by suicide” and “There is one death by suicide in the US every 12 minutes”.

“I decided that I could not standby any longer and keep hearing the stories of people committing suicide so I decided to tell the world my own personal struggles and my faith based journey to welling being in the hopes that what I have learned in helping myself will help others as well” says
Rev. Oreste J. D’Aversa author of the new book Healing the Holes in My Soul! How I Saved My Own Life, Became Whole to Lead a Happy, Fulfilling and Joyous Life!

“While I strongly urge people that have suicidal thoughts (also called Suicidal Ideation) get professional help as soon as possible, we can also be helping ourselves as well.  The exercises in my book are designed to be used ‘in addition to and not instead of’ working with mental health professionals” say Rev. D’Aversa. World Suicide Prevention Day is September 10, 2020.
