Debt can affect your credit score and stop you from obtaining new types of credit which includes a credit card or loan. Bad credit can also lead to higher interest rates with fewer loan and credit options.
Having bad credit and being in debt can have wider-ranging consequences which includes mental health problems, lost job opportunities and even finding a new home.
A person who has bad credit can suffer from depression, anxiety, and low esteem. It can also lead to relationship and marriage breakdowns.
Unfortunately having bad credit can now lead to people struggling to find new rental accommodation. More and more landlords and rental agencies are now using credit reference agencies to check on a person’s credit. But bad credit is not just affecting people who are looking for a new place to live, it can also affect a person’s job opportunities.
In recent years, more companies are now using credit reference agencies and checking on a person’s credit history when interviewing for a new job. Even those who already working for a company and hoping to advance and gain promotion could have their credit file checked.
It is so important for a person with a bad credit file to tackle that problem and improve it. One company that is helping people and providing them with the right tools is Teach People How Educational Services, LLC.
We decided to speak to Derrance Turner, the founder of Teach People How Educational Services, LLC., to see how they are helping people to tackle their bad credit problems. Here is what he had to say.
1. First of all, please introduce yourself
I’d like to start off by saying, thank you for interviewing me. Hello, I’m Derrance Turner the founder of Teach People How Educational Services, LLC. I work in the educational services sector to empower and teach people about the importance of maintaining a healthy credit profile, and score. I operate a credit repair, and credit education website by the name of TeachPeopleHow.com to assist anyone needing help with their financial future.
2. Can you explain who and what is Teach People How Educational Services, LLC.?
We’re an advanced compliance-based credit services organization, which help clients with credit repair, and credit education. Our office is based at 5718 Westheimer Suite 1000V Houston, Texas 77057. You can view our products, and services at www.TeachPeopleHow.com
3. Why was the company started and what feedback have you had from your customers?
TeachPeopleHow.com was started when I realized that I had to power to change lives, by helping people overcome their financial struggles due to inconsistencies in their credit report. I no longer wanted to sit back and watch the people around me struggle to get ahead because of past credit issues. Let me tell you…many of my friends, and family were getting very bad interest rates on cars, mortgages, loans, you name it. It made me sick to my stomach, and I wanted to show them a way out by helping them repair their credit and educate them as well so that they don’t make the same mistakes moving forward. We are always happy when our clients tell us that they appreciate our products and services and refer others.
4. More people are getting into debt, why is that?
There are many factors that can cause many people go into debt. One of the top reasons is their income to debt ratio is way off. It’s like taking one step forward and two steps back deeper into the bad credit hole If a person has more debt than income coming in. Other reasons why many people are getting into debt could be caused by, losing a job, hospitalizations, depression, divorce, gambling, the current pandemic, etc. The list goes on. At the end of the day bad credit isn’t permanent and can be repaired over time.
5. You offer services to help people improve their bad credit, can you explain more about that?
Sure, I can! With our services at TeachPeopleHow.com, we would begin by scheduling a consultation with our leads. We analyze their entire credit profile with them and talk about ways to challenge the negative data in that profile for deletion. Once they become a client for the duration of credit repair they receive unlimited deletions, unlimited monthly challenges, a comprehensive credit audit, personalized challenge strategy, 24/7 access to their secured client portal to monitor their progress, and a 120-day money back guarantee if they see no credit profile deletions after 120 days of service. We also educate them on how to maintain a healthy credit profile during and after the credit repair process.
6. Some people ignore their bad credit records, why is it important for people not to ignore them?
It is important to not ignore your credit profile. You should be checking your credit profile every month to make sure everything is stable. If you have bad credit, you should try and make every effort to correct the negative information holding you back from your dreams of owning a home, getting a new vehicle, having great credit cards with awesome rewards, etc. Many times, bad credit can keep you from getting a job.
7. Some businesses are now using credit reference agencies when people go for an interview for a new job or promotion, do you think that is fair?
They are pulling credit reports on people to judge their character, to see if a person is responsible enough to pay their bills on time. It’s sad but true. I don’t think I’m in the position to say if I think it’s fair or not. I just believe in giving a people a chance to prove themselves, because you really don’t know what they’ve went through that caused them to have bad credit in the first place.
8. With the pandemic, do you think more people are now in debt?
Absolutely! It’s a real sensitive topic. Let’s just say that many people are still trying to recover from such a terrible situation. My heart goes out to the world.
9. 14 million people owe more than $10,000 on their credit cards, why are so many people getting into debt on credit cards?
One word. UTILIZATION! Many people do not know how to utilize their credit cards properly on a monthly basis. They are spending far more than they can pay back when the bill is due. This is one of the most common things I see and educate my clients about.
10. Some people miss a payment on their credit card and think about making it up at a later date, is this the wrong thing to do, and what damage would this have on their credit file?
Payment history makes up 35% of your credit score. With that said, one missed payment could drop your scores as much as 180 points on a FICO and remain on your credit report for seven years. It is never a good idea to miss a payment for that reason. Several late payments could cause serious damage to your credit profile.
11. You say that bad credit can stop you from buying a car or purchasing a house, what type of bad credit are we talking about?
That’s a good question! We are talking about the credit that typically falls below the 600 range. Many lenders are still approving people in that range, but let’s be clear that their interest rates are sky high.
12. I was shocked to read that bad credit can stop people from getting a student loan, why is that?
In a nutshell, bad credit can stop people from getting a student loan because lenders want to make sure there is a very low risk in lending you the money and recouping it later.
13. Do you believe that young adults should be taught in schools how to deal with finances to avoid so much debt?
This has been something that I’ve been saying for a long time. Yes, credit education should be taught to children, and young adults starting at school level every year. Imagine what it would look like if the world was full of credit responsible children, and young adults? That would be so awesome!
14. What type of person should come and use your service?
If you are tired of the bad credit rat race, you should seek our services at TeachPeopleHow.com
15. And finally, what is the future of Teach People How Educational Services, LLC.
I see our future as being a household name in the industry, mainly from people trusting us to help them with credit repair, and credit education.
