It is looking like good times for the SHIB community in and around Las Vegas with the first SHIBAcon event set to be held this summer. SHIB holders may finally get the chance to meet face-to-face later this year, with a Shiba Con event scheduled to take place in the summer. The event is planned by several Shiba holders, withthe goal of fulfilling a proposal first made by Ryoshi in 2021.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem remains one of the biggest in the blockchain space, practically charting a new course in the global industry with a wide range of features and functionality. The goal of the organizers of SHIBAcon is to create a platform that brings together the different aspects of the ecosystem, such as the upcoming Shiba Inu games, AMC Theaters, and even the new Welly fast-food chain. The event also serves as an opportunity to create more awareness about the project, with plans to include SHIB burn mechanisms, panel discussions, live musical performances, and digital art in the form of NFTs and other limited collectables. The event will also feature a “Wen Lambo” driving experience and the possibility of a ‘Shiba Fashion Show’ from British fashion designer John Richmond.
Described as a part-festival, the event will be held at a yet-to-be-disclosed resort and unlike other cryptocurrency conferences that are often corporate, SHIBAcon will be community-driven, with suggestions encouraged from members. The team behind SHIBAcon have also stated that the Las Vegas edition of the event is the first of many, with plans to hold the same in other parts of the world.
“While we can’t speak for Ryoshi, we believe every continent and corner of the world should celebrate the SHIB Community and come together for the first time in person.”
It is worth noting that no official statement has been issued by Shibu Inu yet. However, the founder of Shiba Inu Coin, Ryohsi, early indicated the possibility of having such an event, stating that it would be a way for local SHIB holders to meet, celebrate, and collaborate, before it expands to other parts of the world.
The details of the SHIBACon event are yet to be confirmed. However, a team member with the event said “This will not only be a once in a lifetime event for the SHIB Army, but we’re confident the entire crypto world will have eyes on Vegas.”
