The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship recognizes net.America as an Apprenticeship Ambassador

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Apprenticeship recognizes The net.America Corporation (net.America) as an Apprenticeship Ambassador. This new partnership means net.America will serve as a champion in promoting, expanding and diversifying Registered Apprenticeship Programs and thus supporting the department’s mission of strengthening our nation’s workforce.

As an Apprenticeship Ambassador, net.America will partner with DOL to support the department’s goals of modernizing Registered Apprenticeship; increasing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in Registered Apprenticeship Programs; engaging industry in new and emerging sectors; and expanding pre-apprenticeship, youth apprenticeship and degree apprenticeships.

Clare Razaq-Hines, President and CEO of net.America explains, “net.America is honored to be an Apprenticeship Ambassador, solving real business needs of U.S. employers through the creation and expansion of registered apprenticeships. Registered Apprenticeship is the best earn-and-learn model with seamless career pathways enabling apprentices to progress in career and education while enhancing retention and reducing training costs of employers.”

This designation showcases net.America’s growth and commitment as a DOL contracted industry intermediary for the youth and traditional apprenticeships.  Currently, net.America supports Registered Apprenticeship Programs in healthcare, information technology and energy sectors. They serve as a conduit between the Office of Apprenticeship and career seekers, employers, educational institutions, training providers, faith-based and community-based organizations supporting creation of new Registered Apprenticeship Programs and expansion of existing programs at the regional and national level.
