For the fourth year in a row, Odie’s Place Animal Rescue will be hosting their fourth annual TurkeyPalooza 4 Thanksgiving Drive. The non profit animal rescue group have partnered again with Stop N Shop with hopes to feed a record number of people this year. Last year the organization collected almost 400 turkeys in 7 days and over 5000 canned goods.
This year the organization has set a giant goal this year with collecting 600 turkeys. They will be outside of Stop N Shop on Dartmouth Street in New Bedford from 2-7 PM starting on November 13th till the 20th. They also will be at the North Dartmouth Stop N Shop November 17th and 18th collecting turkeys and canned goods.
Odie’s Place for the first time ever will take the meals they collect and will be hosting their very first Pre Thanksgiving Eve Dinner in collaboration with House Of Hope In New Bedford. “Beyond happy we can partner with such a great organization and to be hosting our own dinner to directly feed those in need,” Brian Harrington President of Odie’s Place Animal Rescue stated. “Everyone asks why is an animal Rescue organization doing this? My answer is we are helping those who need help, Why Not?”
