Virtual Summer Camp To Connect Youths Around The World While Entertaining And Teaching Them About The Performance Arts

Chicago, IL – June 03, 2020 – “What are we going to do with the kids this summer?” It’s a question many parents are asking themselves these days. With amusement parks closed, city facilities and pools limited or restricted and summer camps canceled, there are fewer options for kids to enjoy summer while keeping them safe and healthy. One Chicago organization has a solution sure to excite kids, teens and parents. The Kids R Actors 2 Virtual Summer Camp will entertain and teach kids valuable performance arts skills. For as little as $65, children ages 7-18 can log in via Zoom using their phone, tablet, computer or big screen television and watch and learn from skilled performers. This virtual camp experience will cover topics such as acting, dancing, singing, stage make-up artistry, song writing, collaborative story development, cooking, photography as well as creative and fine arts. Without the limits of geography and travel, children will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with children from across the US and the world.

“Prior to COVID-19, children and parents were looking forward to a number of fun events happening over the summer,” explains KaySandra Hunt, Director of the Kids R Actors 2 Non For Profit Theatre Organization. “We all understand why art and entertainment events and summer camps were cancelled and it’s normal and ok for children to be disappointed. Our virtual summer camp will give kids something to look forward to again. Our highly trained and experienced instructors not only provide solid performance arts education, they also provide an entertaining, welcoming, fun and engaging virtual camp setting.”

Children will be able to log in from the comfort of their own home with easy to use and understand technology. Camps will not only teach children skills in a number of performance arts subjects; they will interact in a classroom-like setting with other participants and with instructors. Participants will watch and engage with performances that uplift and comfort. Each class will culminate in an exciting explosion experience, something children, who have missed-out on graduations, events, birthdays and end of the school year celebrations, desperately need.

Parents have until June 26 to sign up for this virtual experience. Camps take place online from June 29, 2020 until August 21, 2020 and are open to children aged 7 to 18. Programs vary from one to eight weeks in length. There’s something for everyone.
