Palestinian, Swedish (28-8-2018) – Andrawos Bassous, (born November 11, 1991, Bethlehem), is a Palestinian-Swedish photographer and YouTuber. He grew up in Bethlehem, Palestine. His father bought him a violin when he was 12 years old. He studied the instrument at the higher institute of Music in Bethlehem, Palestine, and also studied Theology at Saint Mark’s Monastery in Jerusalem.
He has had several of his photographs shown on Swedish national TV and has also had his work featured in Al Jazeera, MBC, BBC and Al Arabiya among others.
Since 2014, Andrawos is well known for taking non-traditional wedding photos especially in places where there are conflicts and war in the Palestinian cities. He took pictures in these places for couples Such as Palestine, Jordan and Syria! Despite the hard situations, he was able to hit more than 1 million followers on Facebook in less than 2 years. In 2017, both Al Jazeera new TV channel and Jerusalem Newspaper published Andrawos Bassous photos for the first time, and then he was the only photographer from Palestine to appear on the MBC morning show which broadcasts from Dubai.
