May 17, 2019—Boston, Massachusetts: R&B and Soul Singer Linda Washington releases a new sultry single, Take Me I’m Yours. The ballad is inspired by Washington’s journey to find true love again after being told she wasn’t worthy because of the physical scars from her treatment for breast cancer. A true fighter, Washington persevered and wrote this song to help other cancer survivors find their way to love again.
After battling breast cancer, the recording artist and song writer found herself in a new relationship hoping to find true love, but Washington soon realized that the physical, mental, and verbal abuse that she experienced was not love. She gave up on dating for ten years, afraid of being hurt again. Through her recovery, she found her way back to loving herself, which in turn led her to a truly loving relationship with someone who could see her for who she is and not simply her scars or cancer. She wrote Take Me I’m Yours to share hope with other cancer survivors who might feel like giving up on love.
