A millionaire by the young age of 29 at the head of apparel brand Sol Munki and then repeating his success in a second apparel business that broke a million in sales before ownership issues caused him to leave, Darius “Wally” Richburg has proven he has the mind, drive, and fashion sensibilities to push clothing brands over-the-top. In exciting news, he has recently announced along with Ikenga Equity Holdings a partnership with a Dubai-based Sportswear Investment Firm to launch the new active streetwear apparel brand Gym StreetWear. Utilizing Richburg’s proven knowledge of the industry and marketing skills the new brand is not just presenting a first-class line of sure to be in-demand apparel, but has also set up a growing network of social media influencers, yoga studios, and gyms promoting the new Southern California-based brand, along with international distribution partners in three countries. A smart bet is that Gym StreetWear® will soon be a very popular part of the active world.
Rebounding from his last business effort, which ended up in chaos over the actions of those he misplaced his trust in has been a learning experience for Richburg that is sure to benefit Gym StreetWear® greatly.
“I guess its business, my lawyer stated you can have contracts in place but you can never stop anyone from doing what they want to do,” commented Richburg. “Some people become greedy when money enters their atmosphere, but I was raised by a business oriented and honorable family. My father instilled in me to always move with integrity, never burn bridges (relationships) and to turn lemons into lemonade. And that’s what we have done with Gym StreetWear.”
Beyond their exciting online shop, the new brand expects to open their first physical store in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by the first quarter of 2020. Like the company motto says, they plan to “Persist Until…” and show that persistence in the pursuit of excellence ultimately pays for all involved, from the brand, investors, employees, and of course their customers.
