Recently, a video has been circulated on social media of a dentist who lives in Canada telling how confident he is at the level of medical care in Dubai. Dr. Osama Raweh said he is keen on keeping abreast of the latest techniques in the world of dentistry, which motivated him to travel from Canada to the Emirate of Dubai for the treatment and beautification of his teeth at the Liberty Dental Clinic by Dr. Mohammed Naji, who has long been a supporter of therapeutic tourism through his continuous presence and participation in the most prestigious health conferences, the latest of which was Dubai World Health Tourism Forum under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where Dr Mohammed Naji – as the Executive Director of the Liberty Medical Group – delivered a lecture on medical development and the experience of the Liberty Medical Group, which has become a landmark of medical tourism in the UAE.
After receiving his treatment, Dr. Osama Raweh expressed his happiness and appreciation for the latest technologies, level of treatment and distinguished care provided by the team of doctors at the Liberty Dental Clinic. He added that his trip from Canada to the United Arab Emirates was a sound decision and concluded by thanking the United Arab Emirates for its hospitality.
It is noteworthy to mention that Dubai has a wide range of internationally accredited facilities employing more than 35,000 healthcare professionals from 110 different nationalities, in addition to Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) Free Zone, and the number is expected to increase by 2020. By that time, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) plans to attract 500 thousand therapeutic tourists annually to the city, a strategy that nurtures opportunities for the Emirate’s booming healthcare sector.
In 2015, the city welcomed up to 300,000 foreign medical tourists, provided easy access to a constellation of highly qualified multidisciplinary therapeutic specialists, and made available various options of world-class facilities without the long waiting lists, in addition to providing the best prices and a convenient post-recovery atmosphere, and this is what distinguishes Dubai and makes it one of the fastest growing medical tourism hubs in the world.
