Based on the attire worn in the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy, an LA scrubs store is now carrying a line of professional health care wear by scrubs manufacturer Barco Uniforms.
“The TV show has inspired a lot of people to go into the medical fields. It has also spawned a fashion industry around medical wear clothing,” said Philip Gabriel, owner of Scrubs Unlimited in LA. “The show licensed its style of scrubs to Barco, already a quality manufacturer of health care garments.”
Scrubs Unlimited carries full line of Grey’s Anatomy curbs for adults. The clothes come in industry standard colors for places that require colors. The uniforms are also comfortable enough for regular wear for people who are not in a medical field.
“Barco took the look of the scrubs and turned them into functional attire for the working professional and for people who just like the look but want to be comfortable at the same time,” Mr. Gabriel said.
The store even stocks Grey’s Anatomy lab coats in adult sizes.
The scrubs are made from a 77% Polyester-23% Rayon blend, giving them high durability and superior moisture-wicking abilities. The weave also means the scrubs stand up to heavy duty washing.
Sizes include tall versions and petite.
“We list the most popular colors. If you need a color you don’t see, let us know. We also offer custom embroidery on everything we sell. The monogramming adds a little time to the delivery date,” Mr. Gabriel said.
