Music mogul and audio engineer Michael Cushion Jr Opens New Recording studio in Long Island New York

Renowned audio engineer and entrepreneur Michael Cushion Jr has been hard at work the past year building a brand new recording studio in the heat of Long Island.

The vision for the studio was to bring a modern, minimalist environment to the classic recording studio Michael Says.

For the past 8 years Michael has been professionally Mixing and Mastering records under his online company Mikes Mix & Master, for Major Artists like G-Eazy, Tory Lanez and B.O.B. He has also provided his services to companies and record labels such as MTV, Def Jam and EMI.

The company is a huge success and has already made its mark as the go to place for Online Mixing and Mastering worldwide.

“I’ve taken over the world of Online Mixing and Mastering, it’s now time to take over the recording industry,” Michael confidently says.

To make this a reality, Michael has teamed up with New York brothers Christopher and Nicholas Lomuto who are also entrepreneurs.

Construction of House Of Sound Recording Studio started in September 2017 and ended in January 2018.

“For the first few months since opening we wanted to trail run the studio, to make sure we’re doing this right and to build a solid system that works for all artists,” says Christopher

The studio features a gorgeous lobby, 3 rooms and two recording booths. Room A, the main control room is built for recording and mixing. Room B is a multi-purpose room which can be booked for recording and mixing but also can be used for Podcasts, photo shoots and even doubles as an additional recording area for bands and rehearsals. Room C is built strictly for critical mixing and mastering.

The entire studio was built from the ground up, using the latest and highest quality materials. Everything is completely sound and fire proof. All 3 rooms are also properly acoustically treated for optimal sound reproduction.

The studio features a streamlined approach when it comes to equipment.

“Only the necessities are used here, you won’t find walls and walls of equipment. We use less for a minimalist recording experience, but with no compromises to the quality. We want our clients to be able to focus on what’s important… the Music,” says Michael.

Hired as the main engineer and the man operating the equipment is Audio Engineer and Producer Jay Cloud, who was carefully chosen by Michael based on his outstanding resume and work ethic.

Jay has also custom built the studios custom Avantone microphone to provide an even better sound. (Which is just one of 6 available microphones at House Of Sound.)

“It’s the same microphone Taylor Swift uses but with a little more flavor,” said Jay.

There is no one out here doing this, walking into our studio is like walking right into the year 3000, we are taking advantage of digital recording like no other and only use the absolute latest audio equipment available. Says Nicholas

Since the unofficial opening, House of Sound has brought in dozens of satisfied clients, some who have travelled from other states. They’ve also worked online with clients in other countries.

“Now it’s time to really shake up the industry!” says the trio.

Trial period is over and House of Sound Recording studio is officially open or business to all Indie and Major artists.
