‘HYPNOTIZE ME’ was a fun and exciting project for Taurie when she decided to do something different for her fans. Not only was the setting going to be from outer space, Taurie wanted to explore a cyborg-meets-cosplay costume.

To achieve that, Taurie enlisted Nelson from @nvfx to do a complete transformation and body painting from her face to her toes, without clothing! It took almost 4 hours of painting Taurie’s entire body and painting the details of a futuristic robot to achieve this look. It worked like a charm in her latest music video.

Though the song is about an uncontrollable urge to be engulfed by someone’s affection, the video takes on a galactic angle. Taurie really scored on this one and keeps getting better with each new production.

This comes from starting off pursuing a career in Neuroscience, and instead ending up teaching herself five musical instruments, writing all of her songs and dreaming of being number 1 in the Billboards.

‘Though it is taking baby steps, Taurie says that letting other people’s journey become yours is one of the worst things anyone can do to themselves’ she said. Taurie comes from a family of professionals and over achievers both here in the United States, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Her family’s expectation of her becoming a neurosurgeon was all she had aspired to be initially until the overwhelming urge of music production pulled her away from that dream. The fear of announcing this change of direction to her mother and extended family drove her into mild depression until one of her friends eventually played one of her songs to her mother. That broke the ice, giving Taurie an opening to have that talk with her mother. She was shocked when her mother embraced her and said, ‘Go for it’. That was all she needed to hear.

Since then, Taurie has released two albums, multiple features, and singles of which one earned her an award at the prestigious Garden State Film Festival (GSFF).

Her latest single ‘HYPNOTIZE ME’ is not only edgy and bold, but it also sets her apart from her peers. Taurie is aiming for the top and will not let doubters and life’s challenges stop her. Engulfed in her true passion for music, and the unwavering support of her family, Taurie is living by her own advice – Ignore them and go for it!

Why pursue a career if you have no intention of being the best at it? That would not make any sense, says Taurie referring to her music career, after abandoning a prior dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. Though it became a difficult choice to make, Taurie followed her mother’s advice which was to make sure she had a mindset to be the absolute best at anything she sets her mind to accomplish. Taurie has every intention of being the best in her music career, by hard work, dedication and yes, a mindset to be the best out there among her peers. Mindsets keep you focused during trying times and glorious moments. Mindsets are also reminders when you doubt your intentions.

Yes, it would be a journey and it would have challenges along the way, but the mindset must be solid and unrelenting. At the moment, Taurie keeps getting better with each song release and she pushes herself to be diverse by trying her hand in each genre – RnB, Pop, Hip-Hop, Easy Listening, Soft Rock and Ni-Pop (Nigerian Pop).  Her intention to capture a genre that optimizes her talent. She admits that although she taught herself how to play five instruments, she intends to take classes to only improve what she has learned so far.
