Rapper Releases Most Controversial Police Song Since The NWA’s FTP

Detroit rapper Badabing has released the most controversial Hip Hop track since the NWA’s “FTP.” Entitled “KKKilla KKKop,” the song takes the listener on a one way trip into the mind and actions of police officers involved in America’s most notorious blue on Black lethal confrontations. Originally banned by the major streaming and download sites due to the song’s title, cover art, and lyrical content. The ground breaking shocking song was cleared after the MAGA Capitol riots shocked America and the world. The track steadily increases the tension until it boils over into the confrontations that led to the current protest movement engulfing the country and the MAGA backlash that led to veteran law enforcement officers storming Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021. As the song notes, Congress, led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi immediately called for a 911 style commission to investigate the MAGA Capitol riot where five individuals lost their lives, but has not called for the same for Blacks although dozens have been killed in confrontations with police, often caught on video.

The innovative track is already being heralded as a Hip Hop classic described as the NWA meets Prince and Parliament-Funkadelic. The song asks very disturbing questions that have not been asked up until this point concerning the tragic confrontations between Blacks and American police. The top questions that have been repeatedly posed by top media personalities such as Charlamagne Tha God of NYC’ legendary 105.1 FM show the Breakfast Club, is what can be done to stop the lethal confrontations, and why are they occurring at this particular time in American history? The Motor City and Miami rapper answer those questions in brilliant lyrical style worthy of Tupac, Ice Cube, and the legendary rock band The Clash. Badabing mercilessly points out that another wave of such confrontations occurred in the 1950’s and 1960’s leading to Civil Rights legislation specifically designed to avoid such incidents being “legalized.” The track points out that Trayvon Martin’s case too closely resembles Emmet Till’s case. Breonna Taylor and George Floyd’s case too closely resemble the cases of Viola Liuzzo and James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. In each case police officers were involved in the incidents and were affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan. Police officers George Hunnewell and David Borst from the Fruitland Park police, Presley Garcia of the University of Southern Florida police dept, officers in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Hamilton, Georgia have also been caught on their own body cameras calling for mass violence against Blacks. Badabing cites the police and prosecutor’s coverup in the Ahmed Arbery case, as proof that the grand picture is being missed.

The song poses the questions of whether the police culture has reverted back to the KKK culture of the 1960’s and before? The track cites a 2020 FBI report stating that there is heavy White supremacist membership within law enforcement. The blistering track set to a strip club beat also questions whether the FBI itself has been infiltrated, citing the scandalous case of Detroiter Malice Green. Mr. Green was beaten to death by police, and the FBI raised money for the officers at FBI headquarters as they were investigating the case. All proceeds from the song will be donated to causes to prevent such incidents, and to provide complete transparency in light of the allegations made by the father of Michael Brown Jr., who was tragically killed in such a confrontation in Ferguson, Missouri, launching the protest movement.

The Cycle

For publicly listed and private companies, increasing shareholder value is a top priority. How is this done? Companies create products and services to be sold within global consumer markets. To be successful, the products and services must satisfy a consumer want or need. They must also be of high quality. Finally, the company producing the products and services must be run efficiently. If all of these boxes have been ticked, the generation of profit is a near certainty.

Performing well in these areas attracts investors, who are looking for well run and profitable companies with which to invest. Additional investment allows companies to create new products and services or improve their existing portfolio. The cycle begins.

The Talent

Companies considering updated existing products and services or creating new ones, need technology and people to do so. Improvements to existing technology or the emergence of completely new technology, allow companies to rethink their portfolio of offerings.

As a company becomes more successful, they will tend to employ the brightest and smartest people. They do this to facilitate new thinking in regards to the application of new theories or new technologies, that will improve their products and services or assist them in building new ones.

But how do companies get these important people through their doors? One way is to use a recruitment agency. There are hundreds of thousands of agencies across the globe. They operate in all sorts of different industries, sourcing people with many different types of skills. There is one trait that all agencies across the world share and that is their approach to risk and pricing.

The Old Agency

Across the globe the approach to recruitment pricing has been the same way for a long, long time. Agencies will charge a percentage of the annual salary or hourly rate attributed to the role that they are hiring for. This can range from 10 – 40% depending on where you are and what industry and role the hiring is intended for.

Let’s use a Software Developer to run an example, with particular skills in Java. Let’s imagine the hiring company is located in Ireland and the role can be conducted remotely. On average, this type of role could attract a salary of around €74,000 per annum. Let’s say the agency fee is 20%. Upon placing this new Java Developer, the hiring company will pay the agency €14,800 for the privilege of using their service to introduce them to a new employee.

The Value

There are three important things to consider when analyzing this pricing method. Value, risk and the availability of an alternative. Let’s look at value first. How to calculate the value of something and how to decide whether that calculation represents good or bad value?

Let’s assume that the newly hired developer possesses the skills the company needs to assist with the development and production of new products or services. All things being equal, it can estimated that new products or services will increase profitability for the company. Subsequently, it’s reasonable to suggest at this point, that the introduction the agency has facilitated, between company and developer, could be considered good value.

 

This consideration of good value has to be measured alongside effort. Effort in this case, represents the work done by the agency to introduce this new employee to the company.

Let’s assume that it takes a recruitment consultant, from an old agency, 12 hours work to source, vet and pre-screen the candidate before they are delivered to the company. Once the company has decided they would like to speak with the candidate, there’ll be a little more time required to schedule meetings and prepare the candidate for the interview.

With our focus still heavily on the determination of value associated with a specific price, effort is a huge factor in this calculation. So let’s take the price being charged to the company, that being €14,800 and divide that by 12 hours. This will give us the cost of each hour of effort in regard to the recruitment consultant that has been assigned to work on this particular recruitment requirement.

To find a Java Developer within 12 hours, the hourly rate would be €1,233 per hour. Let’s factor in some costs for the old agency like real estate, people and technology. Let’s be generous and imagine a very high cost base of say 60% of turnover. This would mean that profit from each hour of effort would be €493.20. Let’s remain focused on the customer, the €493.20 is irrelevant to them, it’s the €1,233 per hour that they have to pay.

The ‘good value’ we had surmised from the relationship between the skills of the employee and the development of new products and services now begins to dissipate.

How to tell if someone is getting a good value? This is where comparisons come in. Recruitment consultancy is a professional service. Comparing other professional services that use an hourly rate may provide some clues.

A legal firm carrying out commercial activities for a client could charge between €500 and €700 per hour. Our old agency is starting to look at home in the ‘bad value’ category. An accountancy firm may charge between €180 – €300 per hour to sort out the company’s tax affairs.

 

Though not a professional service, the POTUS earns roughly $86 per hour. Frequently referred to as the most difficult job in the world. Our agency fee of €1,233 per hour is now starting to look completely ridiculous in terms of value.

The Risk

Have you ever thought about asking the current recruitment agent why their fees are terribly bad value and so incredibly high?

This is probably what they’ll tell. ‘We source highly skilled talent for strategic roles within the company. These people will increase profits and drive exponential growth.’

That’s not why the fees are so high. A large part of the problem is the act of hedging. Old recruitment agencies rarely operate exclusively for their customers, they are nearly always up against other agencies, as this benefits companies by increasing candidate coverage, or so they think.

Being up against other agencies for placements means that securing the right candidate first may not happen all of the time. This is the risk the old agencies are trying to mitigate against by charging astronomical fees. Let’s use our fee for the Java Developer once again, €14,800.

Let’s imagine that the old agency had worked on three prior placements, without securing a candidate. On the fourth attempt they manage to find a suitable candidate first. Their fee has to cover one successful placement and three unsuccessful placements, where they didn’t get paid for their work, €14,800 ÷ 4 = €3,700.

Let’s again imagine that each candidate search took 12 hours of effort. The hourly rate across the four recruitment requirements is €3,700 ÷ 12 = €308 per hour. Whilst this hourly rate seems a little more palatable, this is not the hourly rate that the customers are seeing, that is €1,233.

Customers are unaware of unpaid and unsuccessful placements. All the customers see is an hourly rate of €1,233, using the example above.

Hedging against not placing candidates delivers no value at all for customers. It only facilitates old agencies clawing back revenue for time spent on recruitment projects that don’t yield any revenue.

Another part of the issue with gigantic and irrelevant recruitment fees is the commission structure that has plagued the industry for decades. Graduates are lured into recruitment with promises of €100,000 per year salaries. This issue will be covered in another article later this month.

The TINA Effect

TINA — There Is No Alternative — is a popular Wall Street acronym describing a key reason why equities remain so popular.[1] This basically means that investors are choosing something not because of its value, but because there is actually no other option. The recruitment industry is suffering from a TINA moment right now and it’s fueling the recruitment bubble.

Customers understand everything outlined above. They understand that old agency fees carry some of the most inflated profit margins of any product or service within any industry, ever.

Companies pay these fees because THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE. They need highly skilled people to join their companies to fulfill objectives. When they don’t have the resources or time to source these candidates themselves, they are forced to engage with old agencies and face crippling fees.

Recruitment as a Service (RaaS)

TINA’s time is up. Recruitment as a Service (RaaS) from Schwarz & Vogel has been developed to remove the risk associated with recruitment, both on the agency side and the customer side.

The role now becomes the sole focus of the project brief. It has no bearing on the price charged or whether or not the company gets paid.

This means that because Schwarz & Vogel always gets paid, the costs associated with using a recruitment agency have been reduced considerably. In 2020, our customers saved between 50 – 75% on traditional recruitment fees.

Recruitment as a Service benefits customers in terms of the type of candidates being presented. Whilst old agencies focus on salary, the higher the salary, the more they get paid. The salary has no bearing for consultants at Schwarz & Vogel, meaning we’ll present candidates for the right reasons, the reasons that are 100% customer focused.

Adell Kimbrough: Living Out His Life’s Purpose

USA, March 9, 2021 “When I was younger, I wanted to change the world,” Adell Kimbrough says, smiling at the memory. “I was young, idealistic, and also ambitious. What’s amazing is that when I grew up and started really living life, that dream didn’t fall apart. Instead, I’m actually living it every day, and I could not possibly feel more blessed.”

Adell today is an in-demand motivational speaker, author, private pilot, and president of Prophetic World Group. “I work hard every day to help everyone imaginable, including pastors in the mission field, adults who feel lost and without purpose, and school kids who are experiencing bullying and other crises.”

“I got started with helping pastors when I was out in Guatemala in 2016,” he says. “Now that’s a memory. I was in this little Cessna in the highlands, and there were no commercial aircraft, just these small planes. I could see really quickly how the ability to fly a plane would be useful in places like that, so when I got home, I began learning how to fly so that I could have my private pilot license. Eventually, I want to have my own private charter for pastors so they can get into the really remote destinations.”

Adell wrote a book, From Passengers to Pilots, that combines his knowledge of planes with his belief that everyone should take charge of their life. He sees a connection between where people fly on airplanes and how we journey through life. “Whether you are a passenger or a pilot determines how you go through life,” Adell explains. “Are you riding in the cabin or in the cockpit? Too many of us settle because we don’t know if we possess the wherewithal to even be a pilot. All that separates you from what you want is a choice to go after it. It’s why some people go after their dreams while too many others give up on them. I ultimately want the world to stop settling for mediocrity.” Adell has also written other books that explore the treasures people can find in themselves when they look to God.

When not writing, Adell is running Prophetic World Group, which is based in Miami. It includes a church, college scholarships for kids in smaller cities and poorer communities, and leadership programs in schools. “This is one of my favorite ministries,” Adell says, “because I get to go into schools and speak to kids about nonviolence and sex-abstinence. I also teach them about what real leadership looks like. They are really receptive to what I have to say.” He is passionate about ending bullying in schools and tries to show each student he meets how special they are.

Adell is often at Prophetic World Group’s church in Detroit, Michigan. “In addition to our services, we offer spiritual advising to celebrities and high profile clients. Mental stability and positivity are key for us to operate at the highest level of creation,” Adell believes.

The pandemic, which has hurt a lot of churches, unfortunately, has not negatively impacted Prophetic World Group. “The pandemic meant that our church could not hold in-person services, of course, so we pivoted and started a virtual dialogue on Facebook called TNC or Thursday Night Church. We had a viewership of 10,000+ in the first month of starting.” Adell believes the people who tune in are hungry for spiritual growth. “I am blessed to be able to help them experience it.”

As the pandemic continues, Adell works with dignitaries in the church world. “Their donations have been hit, of course, so I have taught church leaders how to maintain and even heighten their ability to receive virtual donations.”

Adell believes deeply in people helping people, and he knows he wouldn’t be where he is today without the support of others. “I owe where I am today to thousands of people around the world. Their support has carried me through the challenges I’ve faced in my own life. In the end, no one is meant to do life alone.”

Adell has more to accomplish with Prophetic World Group. “Five years from now, I see us with about nine churches all over the country, and we’re shooting for an annual profit of $1 million. I definitely want us to expand and affect more people. I think we’re on track to doing that, which is really exciting.”

Adell has always got more projects on the horizon. “Life is always changing, and so are people,” he says. “That’s one thing about ministry: you’ve got to keep aware of what’s happening in the world and be ready to jump in where you’re needed. I’m blessed that I can spend my days doing that.”

ICE CREAM is a DJ, composer, and music producer from the Malaysia who pioneered exclusive remixes and tracks and has gone from bedroom producer to one of the most hyped urban artists. Who is ICE CREAM?

Originally, known as Jayson Kong Chak Onn, ICE CREAM is a DJ and record producer who has been producing remixes of his own since 2016. Currently, living in China, he has established himself as a household name and has worked with the record labels like ‘Dirty Beats Records’, ‘Hellfire Recording’ and ‘Universal Music Group’. The 21st century DJ is a cheerleader, party planner, obsessive music lover, practical joker, self-branding organization, content provider, and techno-smart missionary who knows exactly how to give people the fun, escape, and extravagance they crave in uncertain times.

Early Life

Born in Lawas, a small township of Sarawak state in Malaysia on December 8th, 1990, and routing his racket across the globe, ICE CREAM is from a league of his own. He was exposed to EDM when he visited a club in his first year of University and got attracted to Progressive House, Big Room, Hard Dance & Hard Psy and decided to become a disk jockey when he grew up. Since then Jayson completed his DJing course and has shown a talent for an array of heavy-hitting, bass-nourished beats within his inventory. His life took a turnaround when he met his mentor, a famous Malaysian DJ on a train who has guided him like a father till he got the chance to work the turntables.

A Leading DJ Pioneer

After perfecting the basics and club scene, 31-year-old Jayson started working gigs in countries like Indonesia, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand. He even performed on a private cruise in Japan. After jumping into the DJ circuit, ICE CREAM took urban music by storm. Over the years, he built a reputation for himself in prising art of mixing records and releasing his own track “Hustle” in 2016 and signed a contract with ‘Dirty Beats Records’. Creating fine beats for the dance floor, he also released an official remix track ‘Breathe In’ with Universal Music Group which took the industry by storm. In the same year, ICE CREAM released another collaboration single “Big Boy Tings” on Hellfire Recording which ranked #9 on Beatport Hard Dance / Hardcore chart.
