One Children’s Foundation Launches Vital Campaign To Assist Immigrant Children And Families During Covid-19 Pandemic

Donate Now to Support Supplies for Border Shelters and Local Families

April 3, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – Led by actress and humanitarian Ana De La Reguera, ONE Children’s Foundation is launching a fundraising campaign to help support immigrant children and their families for their urgent needs during this unprecedented period in history.

As the COVID-19 pandemic touches every corner of the globe, ONE Children’s Foundation is working to assist the immigrant community along the southern border and in the L.A. area who has little or no access to healthcare, and have limited access to food, housing, and other necessities.

Many undocumented immigrant families living in the U.S. are day laborers who, if still working, are at a much higher risk for contracting COVID-19 due to inadequate work environments; while other immigrants are now out of work because of the pandemic, and do not qualify for government aid.

“As the global pandemic continues to ravage the planet, we have an obligation to help those in our local communities who are most vulnerable and need the basics that many of us take for granted,” said De La Reguera. “I am urging those who are able, to make a financial donation to ONE Children’s Foundation today that will provide urgent supplies to shelters at the border and to local immigrant families.”

Financial donations will support these immediate needs:

  • For shelters and organizations at the southern border:  Medical supplies, cleaning products, food, clothing, personal hygiene products, building materials, school supplies, bedding supplies.
  • For local immigrant families:  Medical supplies, cleaning products, food, clothing, personal hygiene products

How MedicSignal helps Covid-19 Caregivers and Social Distancing

0
NZ-based Company MedicSignal Announces Its Service Will be Available for Free During the Coronavirus Crisis

The MedicSignal app allows app users to connect with loved ones and caregivers, based around a “swipe to say you’re okay” foundation. This is ideal in the current age of social isolation, presenting a valuable tool that can be extremely useful.

New Zealand company MedicSignal has read the times well developing and releasing a special app MedicSignal that allows users to send the message that they are “okay” quickly and easily and reverses the usual alert process and gets help when someone is unresponsive. Now with the global breakout of the COVID19 coronavirus pandemic, and the wide calls for social isolation, the wider use of the new app is expected. The company recently announced that the app will be available for free during this crisis as a way to offer a service to the people, families and communities impacted.

MedicSignal can be downloaded for free off of both the Google Play and Apple Store.

“MedicSignal allows the self-isolated to let their caring network know when they’re unresponsive, and covers you if you’re unable to answer an alarm,” commented John Hookway from MedicSignal. “The app’s core functionality helps relieve the stress of relatives and friends worrying, calling all the time, or being uncertain if you need help. We are happy to make it available for free.”

According to the company, Hookway was working on MedicSignal as a smartwatch but once news of the coronavirus started to spread he realized the value it would serve as a tool for those in self-isolation and their caretakers and their families. He put the smartwatch development on hold while making MedicSignal available for free as an app where it can do a great deal of good.

It is expected there will be more than 50 million unpaid caregivers across the nation, making caregiver burnout a real thing to be expected. MedicSignal can ease this burden, allowing caregivers to be there only when they’re needed, and not waste their precious energy when they’re not.

A lot of emphasis is put on those going into self-quarantine, but what about their caregivers? They take up a lot of responsibility, have concerns of their own and are suddenly dropped in a weird situation not really knowing what to do, or if the worst is about the happen.  They deserve peace of mind.  MedicSignal lets this caring network know if the user is responsive and okay or if they require assistance, in an easy-to-use and reliable way.

According to the company, MedicSignal keeps the choice of who gets alerted in the hands of its users, it is not just about technological differences, and it amounts to a different social idea and seeks to expand the conversation about medical alerts. Usually it’s about health only. MedicSignal has a unique solution to this problem: its “swipe” approach to medical alerts. With a solution that’s as simple to use as smacking the snooze button on an alarm clock it offers something the company hopes will change the conversation for the better for all involved – both the person with medical concerns and those providing care for them.

This is a serious time and being well prepared with the right tools can make this easier.

In Hookway’s words, “Have the right tools in place to get help before it’s too late.  Swipe to say “I’m OK” – you need that vital extra layer of safety!”

A lot of people have been rattled into searching for alternative social media platforms as they become ever more uncomfortable with the way capitalist entities leverage control over the largest social networks in human history. Most do not like the way these companies buy and sell our data, our identities, and even our behaviour!

RedrumSociety Donates Portion of Royalties to Music Executives Affected by COVID-19

0

Boca Raton, FL – RedrumSociety has announced that proceeds will go back into the industry to help executives cope with unemployment anxiety. The band has released six classic singles and recently donated a big portion of royalties to music executives who have been affected by the COVID-19. The amount the band was said to donate has surpassed $100,000. RedrumSociety clearly has a burning passion for music and the music industry.

The world economy has been affected by the severe attack of the Coronavirus. Music executives that have been affected by the virus, include Lucian Grainge, chief executive officer of Universal Music Group Inc.  He is now hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19, according to a person familiar with the matter. RedrumSociety’s efforts and donations have served the music community for many years.  With the world shutting down, executives have taken a hard hit from touring revenue, travel restrictions, and album sales.

A spokesman of RedrumSociety says that “We aim to provide support for Music Executives that have always looked out for our band’s best interest.” RedrumSociety has released their latest song “Crumble”, which is already on the top music charts and trending on many platforms. In the words of lead singer, Zach Cohen “When I wrote “Crumble”, it was originally a blues song. The lyrics describe the need for a women’s comfort. The song was written to ease his pain and distractions from the problem with addictions”.

When RedrumSociety released CRUMBLE, the song peaked on iTunes Alt Chart at #15. The band also released HOW I COPE which hit Top 40 on the Pop iTunes Charts at #29. The songs are trending on Spotify with over 100,000 streams this week! Another spokesman of RedrumSociety says that “We are trying to contribute in-country economic money flow by donating and we need your support also. Every song sale counts.”  RedrumSociety has been very popular now for young people because its songs are very real and factual. These specific releases showcase the hardships of dealing with sex, drugs and triumph.

About RedrumSociety:

RedrumSociety was founded in 2008 in South Florida by four newly made friends (Esperanzo Wilcox, Esdras Reymond, Zach Cohen, and Dylan Lerner) of completely different backgrounds in every sense of the word: families, music, culture, and ethnicity. When they came together, it felt like magic and a brotherhood was formed. Later on, the members of the band carried out different lives, one of them, Dylan, passing away at the age of 17.  Eventually it was only Zach, now living at the time in Santa Monica, CA to continue on the RedrumSociety name and tradition.

Zach wants to embody the spirit of the original lineup of RedrumSociety. That spirit is an in your face, against the grain attitude. It is music that talks about what we all think but don’t say. That theme still holds true in all of their songs, even as the sound has evolved dramatically throughout the years. Today, Zach has relocated back to South Florida to be back in touch with his roots. The founding members still remain in close contact and influence the music and help Zach write and arrange the songs.  Currently they have three songs which have reached the pop and alternative charts, and are planning a series of digital concerts to give fans what they’ve been requesting.

DelivRan, a new food-based delivery service, is alleviating the demand for food delivery services in the face of COVID-19. As millions of American face stay-at-home orders to self-isolate, DelivRan is committed to connecting customers with their favorite restaurants and eateries so businesses and their employees can stay afloat.

Helping businesses to hire or re-purpose their existing workforce as delivery drivers, DelivRan is supporting businesses, employees, and local communities nationwide. No longer watch restaurants replace staff trained in food handling with random delivery drivers, who one in four report sampling food before delivery and other dangerous, unsanitary behaviors.

Every business can instantly offer online ordering for delivery or pickup with DelivRan. Allowing businesses to feature items or menus in the application, restaurants and eateries can also enjoy full order tracking and status updates of in progress, ready/out for delivery, and completed. Customers are simultaneously updated via SMS when an order is being prepared and when it is ready and out for delivery, and instant payments via accepted via Stripe Connect, PayPal, and Square. Such payments prove a lifesaver for businesses trying to navigate diminished revenues in these trying times.

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, businesses, including restaurants and eateries, are increasingly left to shutter their doors and leave millions of dedicated service employees without work. But now, with the help of DelivRan and its innovative businesses model, the modern workforce can be employed with a sustainable delivery-based alternative in the face of COVID-19. With a job marketplace included in-app, even businesses without employees to re-purpose as delivery drivers have the option to hire full-time, part-time, or per-delivery assistance with flat-fee offers.

Dealer Inside Gives the Nation’s Car Dealerships a Way to Keep America Mobile During COVID-19

0

Amid coronavirus social-distancing, one thing remains true. America still has to move. Savvy car dealerships nationwide have tapped into remote long-term selling capabilities with an app called Dealer Inside. Now, people never have to darken the door of a dealership again. Car dealers go to them in real-time to sell a car, start to finish, entirely online.  Welcome to the new virtual test drive.

Trevor Stewart, the Co-Founder & CEO of Dealer Inside, said, “Our app is the answer for keeping America mobile during COVID-19. It’s the only way car dealerships can secure transportation for people during this crisis. We simply offer a solution so that car buyers have no reason to even consider going to the dealership anymore. They’re responding in droves.  Our YouTube video got 150,000 views in the last 30-days.”

The functionality shortlist goes a little something like this.  Once on the dealership’s website, buyers can choose the vehicle they like and click on the option, “See The Car Live.” Immediately they’re forwarded to a salesperson that, through a high-resolution video call, will give them a virtual tour of the car on their cellphone and streamline the sale. Managers get overview reporting alerts and notifications about the call and can even view it online to up the ante on customer service. The days of buying cars at the dealerships with pushy salespeople are truly history now that dealerships have discovered Dealer Inside.

For more information, visit https://dealerinside.com.

About Dealer Inside:

Dealer Inside is an app that facilitates virtual tours for cars through car dealership websites. It puts the user in charge seeing the dealer doesn’t get any info on the user unless he or she is interested in the vehicle. This places the user’s needs before the dealer’s and makes the salesperson work hard to capture the user’s interest then info to make the sale. The user has nothing to download or upload to see the car just simply click on the button “See The Car Live” from the Dealerships website then the car is ready to be viewed right from the comfort of their home.

Corona victim launches non-profit to help others

0

A cancer survivor and now recovering Corona Virus victim* is using the knowledge developed while helping people with cancer to help others with the virus.

Dr Shara Cohen, founder of Cancer Care Parcel, has pulled together a team of people who are working pro bono to promote and deliver the special Corona Virus Care Parcels.

The idea of the parcels came about by accident when, while self-isolating, Shara tried using some of the items in her cancer care parcels to alleviate her Corona Virus symptoms such as neck cushions and a thermometer. It occurred to her that she had stock of these items, as well as hand sanitizers and tissues, which other people who are self-isolating like her may need.

Shara, an author and former research scientist with a Phd in Immunology, decided to use the knowledge and the contacts she has developed while setting up her business Cancer Care Parcel to launch the not-for-profit Corona Virus Care Parcel. The cost of the package and contents varies depending on the products, some of which are being donated, and postage and packaging.

Shara explains. “I was lying in bed feeling poorly and decided I wanted to help. Many of my current clients are vulnerable because of their cancer treatment so I wanted to see if I could help them and others. My Cancer Care Parcels receive very positive feedback and I thought using the same concept and offering people something really useful to help the Corona Virus symptoms would be my way of contributing and helping. I thought people might want the parcels for themselves, or to send to friends or family.

“It’s such a difficult time and I know from personal experience that that it’s really tricky to know what to do if you hear a friend or family member has the virus. Gifts like flowers and chocolates are nice to receive but do not last long and aren’t useful. Being able to send a useful gift is also helpful when you can’t visit the sick person because of the lockdown situation.”

Shara added: “I ran the idea for the Corona Virus Care Parcel past a number of people and a few said it would look like I am profiteering from the pandemic, but I can reassure people that I am not.  We just want to support the community and play our part in helping people.”

Dr Cohen followed a classical scientific career until she left mainstream science in 2000 (which coincided with the birth of her first daughter) to establish a Life Science Communications company (which she sold in 2016).

In 2013 she was diagnosed with Cancer and set up Cancer Care Parcel and in 2020, after getting the Corona Virus, Shara set up the non-profit project Corona Care Parcel project.
