Santa Rosa Beach FL – The Northwest Florida Beach town of Destin is pulling together to medivac Jeff “Swede” Swedenhjelm to better medical facilities.
 
Jeff fell 33 ft while chasing a monkey that had stolen his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers logo baseball cap (Pictured).
He was taken to a nearby hospital but was then strangely moved to smaller less equipped hospital. He is now paralysed from the chest down, and in an induced coma. Family and friends have started a Go Fund Me page, that has raised over $50,000 in 4 days, on the way to a goal of $100,000 to medivac Jeff to see spine specialists.
A local restaurant where Jeff and Steelers fans frequently watched games, Johnny McTighes Irish Pub, is also spreading the word and supporting the fundme page with donations.
Personal friend, Paul Vizard, CEO of 30A TV said “The community is pulling for Jeff and we have no doubt he will pull through with the right treatment. We must reach the goal on the GofundMe page and get Swede moved.”
