New York, NY – May 3, 2018 – Mr. Red, CEO of MainSource Entertainment, announced that rap artist, Fable Angelo, will launch his new release “Stay Up” from his upcoming mix tape “The Trail.” This is Angelo’s second single, scheduled to drop on Friday, June 1, 2018.
“Fable Angelo kicks off his song “Stay Up” paying homage to one of his favorite artists, the legendary Talib Kweli,” said Mr. Red. “His lyrics are a colorful depiction of the struggle of trying to stay motivated as a young artist in today’s society. He digs into his past to pull out the young, imaginative child within himself to push past the negativity.”

Instrumentals for “Stay Up” are produced by 88 Keys. Also included on “The Trail” will be Angelo’s first single, “I’m Good,” that emphasizes self-reflection, in which the rapper looks at himself from a personal perspective to see how others perceive him. Angelo is one of hottest new names in the rap world and will soon be embarking on a promotional tour for his new single.
A native of the Chicago area, Angelo has earned his street cred. He grew up in the Roseland community, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city. It was here that he learned firsthand about topics that rap addresses. He eventually moved farther from the city and became interested in rap through the music services of a local church.
Angelo began working on beat production and lyricism in high school, gaining inspiration from a cousin who helped him learn how to create and produce his own beats. The rapper drew upon the influences of traditional musicians that included Stevie Wonder and Kirk Franklin, along with modern rap stars encompassing Nas and DMX. His first mixtape called “Refresher Course” was recorded in the back of semi-truck.
