During the high profile government led People to People Dialogue event, two major educational contracts were signed, signalling the successful partnership in the golden era of UK-China relations.
Along with Westminster School signing the contract with HKMETG, St Bees School, another traditional independent school, signed a contract with Full Circle Education Group.
The contract between Full Circle Education Group and St Bees School not only signifies the revival of a school that has 434-years history, but also provides a unique opportunity to create a new education approach that brings together the best elements of East and West education. This is achieved through the establishment of Fusion schools in the UK and China, offering the pioneering Fusion curriculum and Twin-campus concept.
Rh Hon Nick Gibb, MP, Minister of State for School Standards and Minister for Equalities, Antonia Romeo, Permanent Secretary of Department for International Trade, witnessed the contract signing, along with over 100 distinguished guests from both counties.
Background:
St Bees School was founded in 1583 by Edmund Grindal, Archbishop of Canterbury. The school enjoys an excellent reputation for its high quality education and outstanding facilities, however, financial difficulties required it to reinvent itself with a new, future-oriented vision.
The reputation of the school has drawn interest from investors all over the world. Full Circle Education Group was chosen by the St Bees School Trustees as the group with whom their educational values were most closely aligned.
