Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Kennethia Shalon has a gift. It’s seeing connections where others don’t—the idea that how you approach one area of your life holds clues to how you approach a different area of your life. “I like figuring out how people tick,” she says, “and based on that, I have this ability to connect the dots. People don’t make the correlation a lot of times.” As a money mindset coach—or, as she frames it, a “freedom facilitator,” Kennethia opens clients’ eyes to where their past mistakes or current habits are holding them hostage. “Sometimes big change can come from a tiny shift and it takes a coach to spot that for you where you just don’t see it,” she explains.
She also practices what she preaches by working with coaches herself, and she says it took her some time to get past things that happened in the past. It’s part of what motivated her to take the entrepreneurial leap. “I stayed stuck for way too long, and it hurts me to think that somebody else would do that. I want to help people move forward.”
She has many methods for helping clients do that, but she usually starts with having them get clear on their values, make a decision on what they want (and be specific about it), and then be open to opportunities. “Once you start to move your feet in that direction, opportunities will pop up. Don’t be afraid. Just try it.”
Find out more about Kennethia’s offerings at her website, Kennethia.com or follow her on social media, where she is @kennethiashalon.
Kennethia tells her story in an inspiring new book, Women Who Boss Up: Secrets of Women Who Are Owning Their Health and Wellness for a Lifestyle They Love, by Tam Luc, the author, educator, and podcaster dedicated to helping women “boss up.” Tam has gathered a top-notch group of women who have faced wellness challenges or other obstacles on their way to becoming their own bosses. Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Real estate entrepreneur Mandy Branham and her husband used to be ideal employees. They fully gave themselves to their jobs, were successful, had a lovely house, two kids, a wonderful life. Then, through no fault of their own, the crash of 2008 came and their ideal life threatened to disappear. “We had the carpet pulled out from underneath us and we realized that we actually didn’t have control of our financial future,” she says.
So she and her husband leapt into unknown entrepreneurial waters, learning all they could, first from experiences in network marketing, then from personal development gurus, and finally from their own research. They wanted the answer to a basic question: “What business sector can we enter into where the harder we work, the more direct results we get out of our effort?” The answer came in a free seminar: real estate. After investing in some more education about it, they bought a property and made $50,000 in 20 days. They were off and running.
Mandy has a lot of wisdom to share, not just about real estate but about taking the leap into working for yourself. One thing she realized early on was “I needed to protect who I talk to about stuff, because other people’s fears could influence my decisions.” And not just that, she also had to overcome a feeling of why she should be striving for more when she had a good life already. “It’s a hard thing to break out of. I had to get over the mind game of, ‘Who are you to want more, Mandy?’” She believes everyone deserves more, and she includes community service and housing the homeless in her work as well.
Much more about her history and her business is at mandybranham.com; in her Facebook group, Solutions Driven Property Group; and her Facebook page, The Seven Figure Canadian Real Estate Investing Group. Her Instagram is @JVQueen

Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 The way Erin Saunders sees it, women have been putting others’ needs ahead of their own for far too long. “It’s time for us to claim our self-worth,” she says. “Take it one breath at a time. With each inhale, remember something, no matter how small, to feel grateful for. That’s a starting place for learning to have self-love and learning how to claim your self-worth. It starts with gratitude.”
Erin faced a grueling path to where she is today, starting with kidney disease that emerged when she was 13 and ended up requiring three kidney transplants. “Twice I’ve had to go through having a transplant, having that transplant fail, and then having to re-find balance in my life.” But with all that experience has come the wisdom that she now shares with others. They are her “three pillars of health”: detoxify, nourish, and tune in/tone up. “You have to remove the toxins from your daily life, your daily care products, your makeup, your food,” she believes. “Detox also includes detoxing limiting beliefs and letting go of the thoughts and blocks that hold you back.”
Erin’s products and services are available at her website, BestLifeOrganicLiving.com and she’s on Instagram @BestLifeOrganicLiving.

Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Moirar Leveille, founder of Moirar Holistic Wellness on Nantucket, suffered from anxiety, depression, Graves’ disease, and hyperthyroidism, all brought on by the stress of living where she didn’t feel welcome, having to move every six months, working three jobs, and caring for her children. Something had to happen, and that something was a decision.
“I didn’t have any money. I had to make the impossible possible. At some point, to go to the next level, you start creating out of nowhere,” she explains. “When you make the decision, then you shape your life. When you make the decision, you become very resourceful.”
As a woman of color on a majority white island, Moirar found workshops and mentors to help her move forward. She read a lot, she meditated, she reminded herself that she was born with everything that she needed to become and stay successful. She also took it slow. “Take time, stay still for a moment, plan, and strategize,” she advises. “As women, we think we have superpowers: We do everything at the same time and then nothing is done at the end. I did that. But then I focused my thoughts, my strength, and I said, ‘I’m going to start. I’m going to take one class. I’m going to take one step at a time.’”
Now, as a Licensed mental health practitioner and two times best selling published author, Moirar is guiding other women along their paths to holistic wellness. She prefers the term “mind health” over “mental illness,” and sees keeping your mind healthy as no different from keeping your body healthy. Just as you feed your body, you feed your mind. Counseling, for example, can be that nutrition your mind needs so that you can understand the mindsets that are holding you back in life.
“I help people find emotional, physical, and mental health relief so they can become their best self,” Moirar says. “Just do the little thing you need to do and believe in your success. Write it down and review it. Be consistent. For women of color, it’s doubly hard for us, because there’s a set of dreams that we didn’t have the right model for to just follow a path. But if the path doesn’t exist, create it. We are not who we think we are based on our circumstances. We create who we will become by consistently focusing on who we want to become.”

Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Steph Shinabery spent years living a life that didn’t measure up to what she knew it could be. She had a successful career as a nurse anesthesiologist, didn’t want for any material things and she had a beautiful daughter. On the outside things looked great but, on the inside, she had longing to make art, free creative spirit but was battling a grueling alcohol addiction, despite many attempts to stop.
Today Steph is living authentically as her sober self and is pursuing her creativity and entrepreneurial passion. She is a published author and business strategist. Always drawn to teaching, she says “I fell in love with marketing and I fell in love with teaching people marketing. I knew that I eventually wanted my own coaching business because that’s what I love to do. That brought me to where I am today—helping people with their offers, their process. If they want to have their own gig, their own business, I know how to do it.”
Even for people who would love to start their own business but don’t know what they have to offer, she can help. “There are more than 400 niches out there! Anything you know that you can teach someone or share with someone, you can monetize,” she says. “There are different methods I use to help clients identify how they can help people, what skillset they have that they can transfer to others, and then I teach them how to market that.”
It’s not always easy to go through the process on your own, as Steph can attest. “One of the challenges for me was really getting clear on picking one thing. It’s easy to get into the shiny-object syndrome—I would take this course and that course and just get overloaded and blow tons of money.” Vetting opportunities and then focusing on the one you really want are skills many people need help to develop.
Steph tells her story in “Rule Your Mind Rock Your Best Life,” a chapter in the book Beyond Success with Steph Shinabery. You can connect with her on Facebook and through the Facebook group Purpose-Driven Profits: Coaches, Consultants, and Experts.
She also shares much more of her grueling story of learning to manage her alcoholism in an inspiring new book, Women Who Boss Up: Secrets of Women Who Are Owning Their Health and Wellness for a Lifestyle They Love, by Tam Luc, the author, educator, and podcaster dedicated to helping women “boss up.” Tam has gathered a top-notch group of women who have faced health and wellness challenges on their way to becoming their own bosses. Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Tobey Terry has always loved the beauty biz—the atmosphere, the culture, the act of doing hair and nails. She grew up with a mom who worked in a day spa and a grandmother who was always put together. When she opened her own salon, it was a perfect fit. And she always knew it was about more than just hair. “I’m a big advocate of beauty-related self-care because when women take the time to go to the salon they get a lot more out of it than just getting their hair done or blown out or colored, which is all important, but it’s also about the nurturing and the touch and just the listening and communication that happens.”
Enter the covid-19 pandemic, and Tobey’s salon business was gone in an instant. Throughout her career, she’d planned for backup businesses—selling a line of products, for example—in case she wasn’t able to do her job in person or simply chose not to. But with the pandemic, she needed another pivot. When she started showing up online more, she says, she found just the right niche for the times. “Everybody started using Zoom, whether for business or friends and family. So I saw this need to help women show up on camera with more confidence.” But she’s not just about outer beauty tools and techniques—Tobey focuses on inner beauty, too, and uniting the two.
Learn about her “Live Camera Confidence” course, free guide, and other resources by visiting tobeyannterry.com or her Facebook group, Confidence Unleashed.

Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame mental and physical challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Tracey Brown has always been tough and seemingly fearless. As a kid, she was an adrenaline junkie who rarely cried. As an adult, she was a first responder in the Coast Guard who was great in a crisis, even when she had to face the horror of recovering bodies. “I compartmentalized,” she reflects. “It’s the superpower of first responders—you put your feelings aside, deal with the crisis, and then move on.” But there’s a problem with that mode: “The human psyche doesn’t just move on. It holds onto that trauma.”
Anyone with family members who are first responders or in the armed services—or those who are on active duty themselves—understands this well. The good news is that there are tools for dealing with trauma. The bad news is that those tools often go unexplored because of the stigma around asking for help for mental health issues. Tracey’s book, Rescue to Recovery, is her attempt to erase that stigma by telling her own story. As tough and self-reliant as she was, she could not recover from trauma on her own. “If you break a leg, you’re not going to think twice about going to the doctor to get it to reset,” she says. “You find a professional who will guide you through that injury. It’s the same with your brain.”
Tracey is also part of another inspiring new book, Women Who Boss Up: Secrets of Women Who Are Owning Their Health and Wellness for a Lifestyle They Love, in which she shares that the crisis management mode doesn’t just apply to first responders. Many women end up focusing on everyone but themselves, living at a lightning-fast pace and allowing stress to build up to the point where it affects them physically. If that sounds like you, Tracey encourages you to take the first step: Just tell somebody.
You’ll find more from Tracey in Secrets, which is a collection of interviews by Tam Luc, the author, educator, and podcaster dedicated to helping women “boss up.” It’s like sitting down with 16 mentors and listening to them honestly share their struggles and successes. Each of these top-notch, entrepreneurial women has faced some kind of health and wellness challenge on their way to becoming their own bosses. Readers will learn how they found their paths forward, how they healed, how they put in the work, and how they thrived. This book is for all the entrepreneurs, mompreneurs, and would-be side hustlers who need that bit of inspiration that can come from reading about other women who have made the jump and lived to tell the tale.

Inspiring new book features 16 women who overcame challenges to find success and purpose as entrepreneurs
USA, January 4, 2021 Dr. Yvonne Maywether of The Brain and Body Restoration Institute spent decades working in the ER. Struggling with burnout, fatigue, and gut issues, Dr. Yvonne finally recovered with the help of doctor practising age-management medicine, and it brought everything she’d learned in med school into question.
“In traditional medicine, we’re taught a disease-based model,” she explains. “We’re taught how to treat diseases with pharmaceuticals or with surgery, but we do not focus at all on the cause. I mean, if you get a bacterial infection or a virus, obviously that’s relatively simple. But there are so many people—6 out of 10 in the United States—who have at least one chronic illness, like hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, auto-immune disorders, the list goes on.”
Instead of looking at the root causes of these conditions, traditional medicine looks to treat symptoms. “What we’re doing in traditional medicine is disease management,” she says. “We’re not actually curing people and that’s what I focus on in functional and anti-ageing medicine.”
Dr. Yvonne may consider nutrient deficiency, lifestyle, stress, hormone balance, and many other aspects of a person’s health in treating their chronic illnesses. And she is her own best evidence for the positive effect lifestyle changes can have: She was diagnosed with breast cancer, recovered, and when it returned three years later and spread to her bones, she was not expected to live. And yet she did.
Learn more about Dr. Yvonne’s amazing story at her website, www.restorebrainbody.com or at The Brain and Body Restoration Institute in Hermosa Beach, California.
She also appears for an in-depth interview in an inspiring new book, Women Who Boss Up: Secrets of Women Who Are Owning Their Health and Wellness for a Lifestyle They Love, by Tam Luc, the author, educator, and podcaster dedicated to helping women “boss up.” Tam has gathered a top-notch group of women who have all faced challenges on their way to becoming their own bosses. A man who has spent his life entertaining others with his love of music as a music composer, arranger and writer, has now turned his sights on bringing life to the literature world.
Behnam Kodarahmi who was born in Persia but now resides in Europe has written a book called Solo Symphony that has everything you could want from a compelling read. It has love, mystery, hatred, and betrayal, not what you would expect from a book that is centered in the music world about a successful musician and university professor.
Since Behnam released his book, it has achieved positive reviews and set social media alive. So, we wanted to learn more about Behnam Khodarhmi, and his now book. This is what he had to say.
1- For people who don’t know you, please introduce yourself?
I’m Behnam Khodarahmi. I was born in Persia. I am a music graduate, of course I also studied a short management course. I have been working in various fields of music for about two decades and I have also started authorship since 2010.
2- Can you tell me something about yourself that you have never told anyone? I usually have nothing to hide in my life or work because I always say everything I have to say.
3- Behnam, you are a music arranger and composer, can you explain what that means? Well, of course, In today’s changing world many meanings can be said for these 2 words but I think the simplest meaning for a composer is someone who creates song and music arranger is someone who arranges a song with different instruments.
4- You have been working in different areas of music for more than twenty years, at what age were you when you first fell In love with music? I started playing music when I was 6 years old, To be honest, I don’t know when I fell in love with music, but I know for sure that music flows like blood in my veins.
5- What areas of music have you been involved in during your 20-year career? Composing, arranging music and writing lyrics in different languages, playing piano, Accordion, Kamancheh, Persia percussion in the studio and on stage.
6- You have started writing music, how did that come about? As I said before, I started playing music when I was 6 years old, In my third year of elementary school, I was invited to other schools to play the Accordion and these invitations continued until I went to the Conservatory of Music. From the moment I entered the Conservatory of Music, my collaboration with television began and it was a spark to write music.
When you first started writing music, did you find it an easy transition? Yes, it was easy for me because I grew up with music.
8- A lot of people don’t understand how important music is, can you explain how important is music to your life? Surely you know that if your heart rate becomes irregular, your whole body will be disrupted! Why? because all the organs of the body work with the rhythm of music, this harmony of music also continues in life, community, and so on.
9- You were born in Persia, but you now live in Europe, has living in different countries inspired the music you write? Definitely yes.
10- You can play the piano, Accordion, Kamancheh, and Persia percussion, which instrument was the easiest to learn? My father was my first music teacher, he taught me kindness and love with music, so it was easy to learn all the instruments.
11- Music is not just about enjoyment, it is also used as therapy around the world to deal with stress as well as other problems, has music ever helped you with emotional problems? Yes, although I don’t want to explain, I will say in just one sentence: If music were not in my life, I would not be alive now. Music is a medicine for all incurable pains.
12- You have just published a book called Solo Symphony, what is the book about? This book is a real novel. A story from love, mystery, and betrayal.
I cannot really remember the last time a novel about a symphony orchestra has been released, what made you decide to choose that topic? In this story, I liken life to a symphony orchestra. The main character (Henry) is a successful musician who, in the worst conditions, leads the symphony orchestra of his life in the best way and alone.
14- The plotline of the book has everything, love, mystery, and betrayal, what research did you during the writing process? This book is based on a true story, but I read a few books on the subject and sought advice from my brother’s wife, who is a psychologist.
The story of the ovel took place in New York, USA, why did you choose New York? New York is a place like any other.
16- Henry, who is the main character of the book, and who is a successful musician and university professor, have you based Henry on anyone you know? Yes, all the characters in this story are based on reality.
17- Your book has received rave reviews, how does it make you feel to hear so much positive feedback? Certainly good feedback multiplies my motivation to continue on this way. I need to thank all those who gave me good energy with their positive feedback.
18- This is not your first book, what other books have you written? Yes that’s right, I have written several books in the field of music, sound and sound recording, Novels, as well as stories for children.
19- How different is it from writing music to writing a novel? I do both from the depths of my being. I write because when the word ends, the music starts, and when the music ends, the soul begins to spout, and that spout puts words on white paper.
20- Covid19 has affected the arts world in a big way, with millions of people in the industry unable to work, how have you handled the pandemic? I consider the Corona (Covid19) season a special opportunity. An opportunity to progress and do all the half-done work that should have been done. I’m usually a very busy person, but I started working as a freelancer in the field of music at the beginning of Covid19.
21- A lot of artists have posted their music online during the pandemic, have you done this? Yes, I’m no exception.
22- If you could perform at any venue in the world, who would it be and why? I always like to be myself and it doesn’t matter to me wherever I can perform on this planet to help music.
23- Is there any music out there that you wished you had written? No.
You have achieved a lot in your 20-year career, what goals do you have left? I think entering the world of music is like swimming in the endless ocean, and no matter how far you go, you realize that this path has no end. I’m swimming in the endless ocean of music right now and I don’t think about the end! My goal is to introduce the love that is hidden in music.
Irish Artist latest track perfectly blends rock ‘n’ roll and soul into a single worth listening to
31 December, 2020 – London, UK – Musician Dar.Ra has officially released his latest dance track, “Rise Like the Sun” on Kusha Deep Music. “Rise Like the Sun” can be listened to on Kusha Deep Music’s official YouTube page. The track is the perfect mix of rock ‘n’ roll and soul music, a sound that has become uniquely associated with Dar.Ra. “Rise Like the Sun” also takes elements from EDM to firmly put the new single in the Rock Step genre.
On “Rise Like the Sun,” Dar.Ra infuses layers of vocals, melodies, and instrumentation into the track, blending it effortlessly into one cohesive sound. The track even makes use of calypso-esque and Latin beats at times to drive it forward. “Rise Like the Sun” is hypnotic, lulling listeners into its incredible rhythm. The song’s lyrics are just as powerful as the music with lines such as “You think you’ve got all the time in the world/And then you get born.” The songwriter’s lyrics are open to interpretation, but one thing is for sure, words like these are not penned by just anyone.
The new single has received some amazing reviews from music experts, they include Eyes On Hollywood Report who said:
“It’s a phenomenal song, undoubtedly one of the finest to be released this year – in its mood, kinetic energy, and an adorned darkness, ‘Rise Like The Sun’ captures something truly remarkable about this chaotic era.”
“Dar.Ra could be morphing Bowie style from a Rock n’ Roll Cult star into a genre defining electronic meets rock producer with his new ‘Rock Step’ sound.” – TNS Magazine. 10/10
