BIG MONEY MOVES Says Garbage Grabbers Valet Trash

0

Higher pay for employees equals higher profits for a local company. Although it may sound counter-intuitive and often isn’t the general thinking in Corporate America, there is a local company having tremendous success paying employees exceptionally well while still outperforming the competition in year over year growth rates and profits.

With locations in TX, GA, FL, and CA, Garbage Grabbers Valet Trash is a national provider of doorstep trash removal for multi-family residential communities and they’re rapidly expanding.

If you haven’t seen them yet, I’m sure you’ve heard of them, where residents place their trash in an outdoor bin, and an employee simply walks around and takes closed bags of trash to the dumpster each night of service.

In the Austin TX market, jobs similar to this are paying around $10 per hour; that’s a far cry from the industry-leading $18-$20 per hour Garbage Grabber is averaging and that’s on top of an unprecedented vehicle allowance each month.

Recently, I was able to catch up with General Manager, Julius Zanoni. He tells me “that paying employees more is what’s driving our success.

We are finding better people and because our employees do a better job we’re able to outperform our competition, not only with higher retention rates but also our overall level of customer service.

We can’t be a good company without good employees. “ There definitely seems to be some correlation as to what Julius says; studies show that happy employees are engaged employees and they tend to be more productive.

It seems that more and more residential communities are deciding to opt into valet trash services and we can see many of them are doing it with Garbage Grabbers.

Not only is it a win for residents who enjoy the fact that everything is neat and properly maintained, but property management alike, whom also benefit from lower vacancy rates and higher resident satisfaction.

Simple? It can be, especially when your valet trash is done right (it’s even their slogan, look it up)

 Are QR Codes Still Useful?

A QR, or quick response, code is a two-dimensional matrix barcode used for storing information, and it is readable by the camera on a smartphone. Essentially, a user would “scan” a QR code through a smartphone application in order to quickly access a URL, video or application.

While they have remained extremely popular overseas in Asian countries, QR codes have definitely fallen to the wayside in past years here in the United States. Today, QR codes are quite the topic for debate — marketers either love them or hate them. But there may be more of a gray area for the “controversial” marketing tactic than we originally thought.

Why dont people like QR codes?

There are several factors that have led to the “fall” of the QR code. What was initially supposed to be a quick and simple process is a bit more of a time-consuming hassle in reality.

First, it required the user to download a separate application in order to scan a QR code because smartphones do not come with built-in readers. Then you had to open the app and point your camera at the QR code. After scanning, you were often taken to an irrelevant web page that is not even optimized for your smartphone.

QR codes also produce concerns for privacy and security. Because QR codes link everyday products and services to an individual’s smartphones, it raises the issue of tracking and surveillance. Not to mention the possibility of malevolent QR codes spreading malware to your device.

It’s 2018, and the majority of us are more tech-savvy than we were even just a couple of years ago. That being said, most people can easily navigate links and smartphone apps without the need for a QR code.

Additionally, QR codes are not very aesthetically pleasing. They tend to stick out like a sore thumb on your marketing pieces, and it is difficult to incorporate them into a clean, modern design.

Why QR codes are outdated

  • They are a gimmick: Advertisers push them on consumers, consumers don’t want to use them.
  • You could have just Googled it.
  • You have to download an app in order to read them, and apps become outdated.
  • No matter what you think, they don’t make your ads more advanced.
  • They are a waste of space.
  • They confuse the consumer with your “call to action.”

While the above factors have contributed to the perceived obsolescence of the QR code, the biggest responsibility is implementation. The majority of the time, QR codes were used inappropriately. For example, you would see QR codes on the side of buses or on billboards where it was completely impractical to scan. Or you would see them on the subway where oftentimes there is no internet service underground.

Are QR codes making a comeback?

They are creeping back, but in a different way.

  • Snapchat is using them currently as a way to quickly add friends. In addition, scan the code and you’re transported to an app-like experience within Snapchat (without the burden of storage and data on your smartphone).
  • Spotify, to share songs.
  • Venmo, to quickly add a friend for a payment.
  • Social media in general, as a quick way to connect.

Donwrite off QR codes completely

There still may be certain places where it makes sense to use QR codes for your practice:

  • Brochures, business cards, newsletters, community event displays, etc.
  • Can be linked to informational videos, web pages, patient surveys, etc.
  • Only if it would be greatly convenient.
  • Maybe simplify billing payments.
  • Make sure it is trackable.
  • The goal should be to take a quick and valuable action.

I prefer not to use QR codes unless they are a perfect fit. Think about it: When was the last time you used a QR code? Wouldn’t you have just preferred to Google it?

Six-Word Prayer Reveals How God is Always Present

‘The Golden Prayer’ Always Works says Bestselling Author Edward Weiss

Six-Word Prayer Reveals How God is Always Present

SAN DIEGOMarch 14, 2018Prayer. It’s always been looked upon as a holy grail. A way to reach God. But prayer soars to new heights for Edward Weiss, author of the book The Golden Prayer. For Weiss, the most effective kind of prayer is the prayer of surrender. That’s where, according to Mr. Weiss, the person praying lets go, and remembers who’s really in charge.

Edward talks about the power of prayer…

“When the power of the world pulls us in, we forget what we are, and instead of feeling like a child of God, we fall and become the son of Man. This happens over and over again until there is a tipping point; a time where finally, you are not living your life, but God is living His life through you. This is the highest virtue to which we can attain, and that through the power of prayer.”

So, what is this six-word prayer Weiss keeps talking about? It is: ‘Let Go, For I Am Here.’ Nothing spectacular upon first reading, but according to Weiss, this is the perfect prayer as it has the order right. Weiss comments on this:

“The first thing we must do is surrender. There is no use fighting our predicament using the will as it is ineffective in bringing us back on the path. We must let go of our tight grip on the world and surrender control. This is why the first part of the prayer is ‘Let go. We let go and let God take control. We surrender because God is there. Needless to say, this is not an easy thing to always do, but it must be done as this is what leads to peace, and finally, salvation.”

SANJEEV SEENATH II Explains Bitcoin And What It Is

Bitcoin is a online digital currency, sometimes referred to as a crypto-currency, best known as the world’s first truly decentralized digital currency.

Bitcoin is traded on a peer-to-peer basis with a distributed ledger called the Block-chain, and the Bitcoin exchange rate to the US Dollar and other major currencies is determined by supply and demand as with other global exchange rates. The traded value of Bitcoin has proven volatile through various booms and busts in demand.

Ultimately, however, many see Bitcoin as a store of value against government-backed fiat currencies.

Abbreviated as BTC, Bitcoin is actively traded against the world’s major currencies across decentralized markets. Bitcoins are kept in so-called Bitcoin wallets, which depend on private keys and cryptography to secure its Bitcoins to a specific entity or user.

Interest and significant global investments in Bitcoin wallet and Block-chain technology have nonetheless made buying and selling Bitcoin far more accessible to the average user.

And indeed growing acceptance by government entities have ameliorated the ambiguity of legal and regulatory status for Bitcoin and Bitcoin exchanges.

Some Good News for Brick-and-Mortar: Non-Millennials (and Millennials) Do Most of their Shopping in Store

0

In early February, Situs conducted a survey that asked a random sample of American consumers about their perceptions of the effect of e-commerce on retail industry trends.

Last week we reviewed the habits of millennial shoppers and found that competitive pricing and top-notch customer service could keep them shopping in-store; now, we examine the e-commerce perceptions of non-millennials – defined, for our survey, as people over the age of 35. To what degree does non-millennial technology utilization (computers, smartphones and tablets) affect their choice and frequency of in-store shopping?

While there may be a stereotype that older Americans are not as tech-savvy as their millennial counterparts, our survey shows that there are a surprising number of non-millennials who do most of their shopping online; 24% of our sample said that over half of their shopping is done online.

However, this does not spell doom and gloom for brick-and-mortar retailers. Of those surveyed, 40% say they conduct less than 25% of their shopping online, including 6 percent who do not do any shopping online.

As expected, a greater percentage of millennials than non-millennials do the majority of their shopping online, at 32.5% and 24%, respectively, but in general, the online shopping habits of the two groups are relatively similar (see table below).

Some Good News for Brick-and-Mortar: Non-Millennials (and Millennials) Do Most of their Shopping in Store

We also asked respondents to categorize which types of merchandise they purchase in-store, online, or through a combination of both. Non-millennials overwhelmingly purchased motor vehicles, furniture, building/gardening supplies, and food and beverage in-store only. Millennial shoppers were more likely than non-millennials to purchase items online only; however, the majority of both millennials and non-millennials still preferred to buy motor vehicles, furniture, building/gardening supplies and food and beverage only in stores.

In addition, millennials and non-millennials were more likely to purchase goods using a combination of both online and in store shopping rather than shopping for any type of merchandise solely online.

Non-millennials agree with millennials that shopping malls have been hit hardest by the rise of online shopping, but non-millennials had some different theories.

They expressed a strong feeling that shopping malls no longer cater to older generations. One respondent blamed the type of stores in malls: “They’re just all youth clothing places.”Less noise and clutter in malls were also cited as ways to improve shopping centers.

The group was composed of 53% female and 47% male. Forty-six percent were unemployed, while 45% held full-time positions, and 9% were part-time employees.

Performance Sports Gel LactiGo™ Now Available in Europe

0

LONDON, UK / VICTORIA, BC / LAS VEGAS, NV, March, 14, 2018 – OutPlay Inc (OPI), a company focusing on improving the human experience, is pleased to announce that their patent pending, flagship sports performance product LactiGo™ is now available in Europe at lactigo.co.uk. Research for the LactiGo formula began in 2009 as an international collaboration of scientists and sports enthusiasts who were searching for a safe, sanctioned, and healthy solution to the challenge of sports performance and recovery, whether in elite, professional athletes or weekend warriors.

This fast-acting, topical gel has been proven to increase performance in elite athletes by up to 15% after only one application. Virtually all LactiGo users report improved performance, and a growing body of testimony from athletes and scientific experts alike is building a solid case for this sports performance gel. LactiGo has been studied at a select number of elite U.S. universities. One of whom was so astounded by its results that they conducted a double-blind pilot study and found that if an American football player applies LactiGo 40 minutes before running the 40-yard dash, he would cross the finish line up to 5.9 ft. faster, after just one application.

“It’s no coincidence that my form has been good ever since I’ve been applying the LactiGo gel. My recovery after games is much better and fatigue from playing and training is not as big a problem for me as it might have been previously. I certainly feel that using LactiGo is helping me extend my career further” said Richard Hibbard, Wales and Lions Test hooker.

“LactiGo has changed the way I train my players. We can go harder for so much longer and not have the soreness that would normally be associated with that kind of volume of work. This is a revolutionary product with astronomical results that will change college sports.” said Je’Ney Jackson, Former Director of Football Strength and Conditioning, Kansas University, Former NFL Player.

The brand LactiGo was developed over the past three years following rigorous scientific investigation, countless success stories, and has numerous patents pending. With each passing day, more and more athletes are weighing in on LactiGo’s positive benefits.

“I have played in the NFL for 13 seasons. LactiGo is one of my secret weapons.  It helps me compete at the highest level every single day!” said Nick Novak, Los Angeles Chargers.

“I’ve been using LactiGo for two years. LactiGo helps me jump further, it helped me get that extra boost. I really appreciate what LactiGo has done to help me achieve another medal. It is a great product, and I’ll continue to use it until I get ready to retire,” said Brittney Reese, American long jumper, Olympic Gold Medalist and a seven-time world champion.

The scientific evidence is equally compelling. Exercise physiologist Chad Macias and nutritionist Tim Sharpe collaborated on a study of LactiGo through the University of Western States that was published in June, 2016 in the peer-reviewed Journal of Exercise Physiology Online. Using elite male soccer players from the Italian Serie League as test subjects, Macias and Sharpe reported an “increase in aerobic and anaerobic work capacity” following the use of LactiGo.

“LactiGo is the real deal. The study conducted by Chad Macias and Tim Sharpe using elite soccer players as subjects proved that the gel enhances sports performance in a big way and is safe. Even more compelling data are emerging to show how beneficial this is going to be.” said Brad Dieter, PhD, OPI Scientific Advisory Board Chair.

LactiGo is now used by professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, PGA Tour, Premier League, MMA, Rugby Union and more.

Approximately 67 million Americans currently participate daily in some sort of sport or exercise and the US vitamin and supplement market is worth 35 billion dollars. The global supplement market is expected to reach 278 billion dollars by 2024.
