Crypto Makes It Easier To Diversify a Portfolio – Kay Rieck

0

USA, April 16, 2021 The first rule of investment has always been to keep your portfolio diverse. There are a lot of ways to explain why, but the simplest is to say that if you keep your eggs in one basket and the basket falls, there is a chance that all your eggs will be broken. The good news is that crypto is making it more possible than ever to diversify.

There’s been all sorts of talk about crypto over the last five years. Part of the reason is the attention-grabbing highs and lows of bitcoin, which could probably be described as the first crypto currency.

In December 2016, one Bitcoin was worth less than US$1,000. A year later, one bitcoin was worth around US$17,000, but then a year after that, the price collapsed and one bitcoin was worth around US$4,000. Volatility in the financial markets tends to spell opportunity, but for many investors at that stage, the sector was too unpredictable to call, so it languished in the doldrums for a year.

It subsequently recovered, and then started breaking records. And then kept breaking records. By the end of December 2020, it had climbed to around US$24,000, which would have been considered impressive, except that four months later at the start of April 2021 it was sitting at around US$58,000. As the chart shows, it’s been a rollercoaster.

Depending on who you speak to this is either the emergence of a new financial reality or a speculative frenzy and the inflation of a bubble that is only going to end in tears.

Time will tell.

Kay Rieck: Look beyond the bitcoin

Fascinating though bitcoin’s price movements are, there is a lot more to the crypto space. One of the key impacts that blockchain, the technology at the base of it all, could have is that it could suddenly make it far easier and cheaper for investors of all sizes to find projects that they want to be involved in. The transparency and speed of execution that the blockchain enables can remove many of the traditional barriers to entry and investment costs could plummet as a result.

If the blockchain lives up to its potential, companies looking for financing will no longer need to rely on brokers to attract investment. And if the brokers are removed from the equation, so are their fees. As an investor, this would mean that the money you have to invest can be spread more widely into a range of different companies and industries, which in short means your eggs can be put in a far wider variety of baskets.

The loss of brokers’ expertise and knowledge could well be keenly felt, but the potential benefits are significant and could well change the way that the innovation is financed. While bitcoin attracts a lot of the attention, it could be just the harbinger of more fundamental changes.

Physician Skin Solutions at Arrowhead to Add Cellulite Treatment Qwo® to Patient Options

0

April 15, 2021 – Cellulite has long plagued patients seeking cosmetic enhancement treatments. Physician Skin Solutions at Arrowhead in Glendale, AZ is thrilled to announce the addition of a long-awaited, FDA-approved cellulite treatment called Qwo®.

Cellulite is particularly insidious because it affects 90% of adult women and 10% of adult men, and diet and exercise are not effective in diminishing it. This is because cellulite contains a type of fat the body does not use for fuel, making it particularly difficult to treat without the specialized training and medical know-how found at Physician Skin Solutions.

But now there’s Qwo®, the first FDA-approved treatment of its kind to reduce cellulite of the buttocks. To understand how it works, one has to first understand the factors that contribute to cellulite. There are three, beginning with thinner skin thanks to lost collagen brought about by aging. The second is the fat layer, which is the necessary cushion that allows comfortable sitting and balance when standing. The third is fibrous septae, made up of collagen types I and III, which run through the fat layer to connect the skin to the underlying muscles. When the septae are not long or flexible enough, they pull down on the skin which simultaneously forces the surrounding fat upward. This is what creates cellulite’s signature “orange peel” texture to the appearance of the buttocks.

Qwo® treats cellulite with the active ingredient, collagenase, which is an enzyme naturally produced by the body to target collagen types I and III. Qwo® is expertly injected into the cellulite tissue at precise depths to target the septae and release their hold on the skin. Once released, the skin smooths out, as does the fatty cushion, so the patient no longer experiences the dimpled appearance of unwanted cellulite. Qwo® also stimulates the production of the kind of collagen skin needs for greater support. This fights skin laxity and age-related sagging by strengthening and thickening the skin, so it appears younger for years longer.

Because Qwo® is made of collagenase, which everybody produces, it does not matter what ethnicity, age, skin color, or body type a patient is—Qwo® can treat anyone. The procedure itself takes only 30 minutes, and patients who have 3 treatments, scheduled 3-4 weeks apart, are those most satisfied with their results. Qwo® is an injectable treatment, so other than the discomfort of a needle pinch and a bit of tenderness at the injection site in the few days after treatment, there is zero downtime. Some bruising is also to be expected.

The best part is Qwo® has been clinically proven effective in reducing the appearance of even severe cellulite. Patients can expect to enjoy the results from Qwo® for years to come.

Physician Skin Solutions at Arrowhead is the brainchild of Dr. Shannon Maltais, whose passion for the art in beauty and the science behind natural looking medical interventions are the driving force behind the clinic’s success. She believes state-of-the-art technology and mastering advanced techniques for dermatology and aesthetic laser treatments are the gateway to helping patients look and feel their best at every age. Dr. Maltais’s commitment to being at the forefront of aesthetic medicine, her grace and world-class treatment of patients, and her cultivation of a caring, highly trained staff have earned Physician Skin Solutions an extremely loyal following. With the addition of Qwo® to the treatments available for patients plagued by cellulite, it’s easy to see why Physician Skin Solutions is Glendale’s go-to aesthetics and dermatology practice.

Meet Realtor Blake Halverson a St. Paul Super Agent

0

Whether you’re a first-time home buyer or own multiple properties, it is extremely difficult to navigate through a real estate transaction in Minnesota’s highly competitive Twin Cities region. The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified those difficulties, making it even more important to partner with a trusted real estate professional.

Successfully navigating this market in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and their surrounding suburbs requires not only extensive experience, but also the ability to understand current market trends and to foresee an investment’s long-term ramifications.

Coldwell Banker, the renowned and expansive real estate franchise, boasts a diverse roster of licensed real-estate agents with such talents. At the top of its ranks sits Blake Halverson, a 10-year veteran of the industry.  Distinguished first as Rookie of the Year for Coldwell Banker in 2011, and then later as a perennial ‘International President’s Circle’ award winner, awarded to top producing agents.

As a specialist in full-service home buying and selling across all price points, Halverson has gained an intimate understanding of the local Twin Cities area. His work with both buyers and sellers during his career has enabled him to see the perspective of both groups, making him a versatile asset that you want in your corner.

Aside from his career experience, Halverson also owes his success to creating meaningful client relationships. “I strive to be a lifelong real estate advisor for my clients,” says Halverson. “I aim to be a full-service support for anyone looking to buy or sell real-estate. It is extremely important for me to exceed client expectations and facilitate a low stress transaction.”

Halverson places a high emphasis on attention to detail and thorough communication throughout the entire buying or selling process. “I want my clients to be well-informed on what they can expect at every step of the journey.  This communication helps put clients at ease, during what can be a chaotic, stressful process.” Halverson’s straightforward communication style cuts out realtor jargon and distills the buying and selling process into an easy-to-understand language.

Halverson goes out of his way to ensure that clients understand home inspection findings, provides tips on avoiding mistakes such as overbidding, and provides honest opinions on needed repairs that may be costly down the line. He even maintains contact with clients after their purchase, notifying them of beneficial opportunities such as re-financing.  Halverson adds, “Ultimately, when I work with a client, we become a unified team working through everything together. I never want my clients to feel that they are going about this process on their own or that our interaction ends on closing day.”

Despite his direct approach, Halverson is careful to never uncomfortably pressure clients. “I’m here to advise and help clients make informed decisions, on a timeline that is most suitable for them.  My goal for every client is to create financial security through the investment in their home” he says. Client satisfaction is Halverson’s paramount goal.  It is little wonder why he has been consistently voted Super Agent by the Mpls/St. Paul Magazine and has over 40 five star reviews on Google and Zillow.

Omega X member Sebin believes fans can expect to see the Omega X members get to know each other. “In the first episode, we’re super awkward. In the second and third episodes, we get closer,” said Sebin in an interview with Forbes.

According to Spire Entertainment, their decision to air a reality show chronicling Omega X’s pre-debut process was a conscious decision.

“The process of liking someone and becoming a fan is not simply a process of sharing the artist’s musical inspiration with the fans. Human empathy plays a big part in this,” explained Kevin Cho, head of global business at Spire Entertainment.

Physician Skin Solutions at Arrowhead Brings CoolSculpting® Elite to Patients

0

In pursuit of their commitment to bring patients the latest advancements in skincare and aesthetic medicine, Dr. Shannon Maltais and the team at Physician Skin Solutions at Arrowhead have added the CoolSculpting® Elite system to their procedure offerings.

The CoolSculpting® family of products is designed to take advantage of the scientific breakthrough that fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than surrounding tissues. By applying the controlled cooling to areas of stubborn fat, CoolSculpting® disrupts the fat cell membranes in a process called cryolipolysis, which results in those cells collapsing. They are then filtered out of the body naturally. Each CoolSculpting® session is clinically proven to reduce fat in the treatment area up to 20%. The result is CoolSculpting® providers and patients controlling their  contours for a slimmer, sleeker physique.

CoolSculpting® Elite is the latest advancement that allows Physician Skin Solutions specialists to treat 9 areas, including the thigh, abdomen, flank, bra area, back, beneath the buttocks, upper arm, and the double chin. What makes CoolSculpting® Elite different is the applicator shape and the fact there are two applicators per machine, allowing providers to treat two areas at once. With the new C-shaped applicator, areas of the body that weren’t previously treatable are now available to receive CoolSculpting® treatment, and the applicators cover an 18% larger cooling field compared to older CoolSculpting® systems.

Everybody is different so a consultation is required to determine the right treatment plan for you. No expensive surgeries, and no long recovery period. Patients are free to resume normal activities after CoolSculpting® Elite treatments, and the side effects are minimal, including some numbness and tingling, and tenderness in the treatment area. It does take a few weeks to see results as the body requires time to filter away the disrupted fat cells. CoolSculpting® Elite is not an ideal treatment for weight loss, so patients who are generally healthy and within 30 pounds of their target weight make the best candidates.

Physician Skin Solutions is the premier and only CoolSculpting® Elite provider in Glendale, Arizona, Dr. Maltais, Physician Skin Solutions’ medical director and owner, is passionate about bringing the top-of-the-line cutting-edge treatments in aesthetics to patients. With her background in microbiology, chemistry, and her MD in Naturopathic Medicine, she has a broad range of expertise in cosmetic enhancement and rejuvenation, and has built a dedicated, loyal following in Arizona for her out-of-the-box thinking and meticulous attention to detail. It’s world-class care in a safe, comfortable, and state-of-the-art clinic for every patient’s skincare and cosmetic enhancement needs.

Bay Area photo entertainment company’s transition kept them going through Covid-19 crisis

San Francisco – April 14, 2021 – Today marks approximately one year since the Covid-19 pandemic broke, greatly affecting many event organizations and venues. However, SnapFiesta, Inc.’s pivot from live to virtual and hybrid events during this crisis helped them maintain their photo entertainment reign throughout the upheaval.

“We’ve been very fortunate to continue working with some of our regular vendors – and also new ones – as we have all navigated this together,” said Gene Kosoy, CEO and Founder of SnapFiesta.

As more outdoor venues begin to reopen, SnapFiesta’s sister division, VintageFiesta, Inc. is set to cover that territory as well. VintageFiesta offers classic retro vehicle photobooths and lounge experiences for a myriad of events. From its most popular funky VW Bus and Airstream photobooths to the sophisticated leather interiors of the Curtis Clipper and Silverdome lounges, these mobile units can be utilized as an exclusive VIP area and photo opportunity. Also, with its unique branding capabilities, VintageFiesta has been featured at many large festivals (i.e. Coachella, Bottle Rock, Outside Lands) and corporate events to enhance marketing and brand awareness. Ally Cribb Channels Her Vulnerabilities Through Her Cover Of Radiohead’s “Creep”

0

“Creep” Out Now: https://youtu.be/FGqTnwMW-9w

Ally Cribb’s worldliness outweighs her sixteen years. Filtered through her own sonic vision, she reimagines Radiohead’s seminal track “Creep”, stripping away the guitars until all that remains is its core: a living, breathing thing – just her, and her piano.

Covers are a risk, but Ally Cribb has entirely reinvented “Creep” as we know it. Drawing on the foundations of the original and developing new dimensions, the track has become her own.

“The song’s haunting lyrics called out for a more reflective musical approach,” Cribb explains. “At its core, ‘Creep’ is really a song about fragility and vulnerability, and I wanted to communicate those delicate emotions with simple piano and exposed vocals.”

She elevates the lyrics that, in a rock sphere, would have to compete for prominence, so that they stand sharply at the forefront. The feeling of brokenness and hopelessness they convey is something that in Ally Cribb’s cover, is hard to ignore, with her voice ringing crystal clear.

A self-confessed empath, what drew her most to “Creep” were the lines: When you were here before / I couldn’t look you in the eye / You’re just like an angel / Your skin makes me cry.” She says, “To me, the words speak to insecurity and intense, unrequited love,” she tells. “I chose a musical approach that I thought most closely reflected those feelings, and I hope I have done it justice.”

In choosing to wear her vulnerabilities with pride through the medium of the song, she taps into untold strength. Bravery, after all, is what defines Ally Cribb’s music best.

About ALLY CRIBB

Ally Cribb has been on this earth before. Her voice is heavy with a soul that defies her sixteen years. While her home city of Toronto, Canada has exposed her to a rich and diverse musical scene, for Ally, “What I do is all about creativity and imagination: two things that can be found and fostered anywhere.”

She always understood music. It was a gift she inherited from her father who, too, is a musician and a writer. Through her own flair for creative expression and an instinct for conveying sentiments to sonics, when she started singing lessons at the age of eight, Ally never looked back.

As a natural empath, Ally Cribb’s experiences have given her song-writing sensitivity and resonance. Just like her heroes Ella Fitzgerald and Joni Mitchell, what she sings demands to be felt.

Her debut release, a cover of Radiohead’s “Creep”, sees the track transformed beyond recognition, swapping guitars for the gravitas of the piano, which brings the song newfound dimensions of vulnerability and strength. For Ally Cribb, this is only the beginning: “Music is the one thing I wanted to be really good at. I’ve been working harder than ever to advance my abilities to write and create.”
