The FATF Travel Rule requires Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to share Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) data between qualifying institutions when executing transactions for senders and receivers. Cryptocurrency exchanges qualify as VASPs, and are required to share this data on behalf of their users.

Nigerian rapper Ikechukwu Joseph Okoro Talks About The Music World

Nigerian rapper Ikechukwu Joseph Okoro, professional known as Huncho Chu (Oyon) has been described as the best rapper in Africa.

Huncho Chu (Oyon) has helped to make history in the music world when it was announced he had teamed up with Ma’ G (Mama Goddess). This made Ma’ G (Mama Goddess) the first known African American woman to produce a cross continent album with an African artist.

The Nigerian rapper has been making some serious waves in the music world, and now after signing with Goddess Music who are based in New York, he is set to light up the world of music.

We decided to get together with Ikechukwu Joseph Okoro to find out more about the artist, this is what they had to say.

 

  1. Ma’ G (Mama Goddess), you are the first known African American woman to produce a cross continent album with an African artist, why has it taken so long for this to happen, and do you hope you will just be one of many?

I can’t say why it took so long for others, but I can tell you what the challenges were for me!

I think I spent most of my time focusing on the quality of my work.  When you are a start up business, and you are responsible for creating, marketing and managing music and artist alone yourself there is the factor of time management and balance.  It took some time to learn these things, tap into the right resources and overcome the challenges of being a woman in the business.

I must say working with Huncho is quite a different ride because he is actually the most prepared artist that I have known up until this point and it makes producing him so easy. Huncho is ready for anything that comes about he’s quick with it you know. Fast to record to tunes I send to him. Also, he already had an arsenal of unreleased material for any major label or artist.  I can promise you Huncho is ready for at least 2 or 3 new hits daily now guaranteed with no sweat.

I boast because I had lots of discouragement form working with some artist in the past …you know trying to develop their talent and they felt they were already celebrities and not wanting to work at least work up to the measure I felt they needed to get them to the Stage.

  1. You are a successful producer, writer, and engineer, which one of those three do you prefer?

I would say production and writing is at the top of the list, Although I can’t’ say engineering is the least because when I send something out sometimes and get back a weak mix …I’m determined.  I’m like oh no, you did not pan it, you turned the reverb way up or I don’t think that went through a compressor, and use slap delay … hmm so I always end up getting involved with it or just having to fix it to match my vision in the end

 

  1. Behind the scenes, the music industry is still a male led industry, can we expect this to now change with you making waves in the industry?

I think it will change, it will have to, the music industry needs this change…. it’s always good for business to shift things up a bit and give the people something new…why not give a feminine touch … in fact why not give them me.  In the past it was easy to control exposure to female producers, because we have always been producing just more in the background. it seems we have come more to the forefront especially with Chloex Halle leading in helping women move forward in the industry. In addition, we have the internet to help female producers publish music on the fly with social media exposure for free.  And on top of that we now have Huncho. Huncho will be a mega major influence when people witness our flow, we just want to get work done! Huncho doesn’t mind the fact that I’m a woman producer.

  1. How did you get together with Huncho Chu?

Me and Huncho Chu got together on a trip I took to Nigeria, and we have been inseparable in music ever since.

  1. Huncho Chu, your new music is coming out in April, are you excited and what do you think your fans will make of the new music?

So, I’m super excited, the new music will be out all over the world, so fans will be encouraged and motivated about achievable goals as they enjoy the music.

  1. You are a Nigerian rapper, has it made a difference to your style of music being born in Africa instead of the USA?

Yes, totally because I’m from Nigeria in Africa where our official language is English, not neglecting our local dialects so makes it even easier for me to flow in English “And” in Yoruba and Igbo very well.

  1. You have performed with the likes of igboro, Small doctor, Stoned teezy (Terri starboy) Juniorboy and many more, but if you could choose to work with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

I’d definitely love to work with the likes of American heavyweights like Rickross Beyonce cos I know they believe so much in what Africa is bringing to the rest of the world musically. Wale folarin is Nigerian and signed to Rozay’s label…

  1. Who has been your inspiration in the rapping world?

A whole lot of rappers across the world from 2pac to JayZ, Eminem Nicky minaj, Roddy ricch a down to Africa’s M.i. Nasty C Vector Olamide and also Terry G although not mainly a rapper he has been like a role model and recently followed me on IG. I feel I will be working together with him pretty soon. In addition, the list goes almost endless cos I’m a very good listener.

  1. What was it like working with Ma’ G (Mama Goddess)?

Omg I’m so blessed to be working with the first African American woman to produce a cross continent album with me the Oyon of Lagos lol. Not many upcoming African artists gets this kinda amazing opportunity.

  1. A lot of the music talent shows on TV like American Idol ignore the rapping scene; would you like to see that changed?

Yes, because I believe either you rap or sing, we still under one umbrella “music”. So, we deserve equal opportunities as artists.

  1. What are your plans for the future?

Doctor makes Young Global Leader list of the World Economic Forum

SOUTH AFRICA, March 26, 2021 Professor Terrence Kommal was recently chosen as one of the world’s most promising global leaders.

Kommal, 38, of Pretoria, South Africa was one of two South Africans to make the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Class of 2021’s most promising 112 Young Global Leaders under the age of 40.

He was selected for the category global health and healthcare, while Justice Minister Ronald Lamola was chosen for his contribution as a public figure.
Kommal and Lamola, and others on the list, were chosen based on their involvement in activities that ranged from reporting on racism to campaigning for inclusivity in medical research. Of the 56 countries represented, 11 leaders were from Africa.

“To me, it is a recognition that in South Africa, no matter the circumstances, the opportunity to excel is always possible,” said Kommal.

“It brings a significant opportunity to engage with some of the most innovative leaders in the world and to create further impact and improve the lives of our people in South Africa and Africa. My key focus will be on healthcare and all the related social determinants of health.”

In recognition on Terrence’s remarkable contributions and leadership, North West University, one of South Africa’s leading universities, recently appointed Kommal as an Extraordinary Professor of Practice.

Kommal, a medical doctor, is the chief executive and chairperson of the Medical Expert Consulting Group. Over the past 20 years, he has been associated with several organisations, two of which include the Royal Society of South Africa and the Young Presidents’ Organisation.

He had served until September 2020 as the elected Global Engagement Officer and Board member of the YPO Healthcare Business Network, a global CEO’s organisation of 30000 members.

Through a national footprint, Prof Terrence Kommal’s organizations provides a platform for medical services that enables some of the most vulnerable people of Africa to access medical services. Using the latest cloud-based technology and AI, Terrence and his team have been able to make important advances in streamlining a fragmented healthcare system.

He currently serves on the interim committee of the Healthcare Federation of South Africa and is chairperson of the Board of Tholwana tsa Lerato. It is a non-profit organisation that is focused on contributing to rural health-care solutions, clean drinking water, sanitation and health in rural Limpopo.

In 2010, while he was part of the South African National Defence Force, he served as a doctor in the South African Presidential Team.

Despite all of his involvements and accomplishments, Kommal said his simple upbringing was a reminder to always stay humble.

Kommal was born in Durban, South Africa, and his family then lived with 12 family members in a tin-roof home.

“Looking back at the trying circumstances in which my parents began our family, I am indeed blessed by their selflessness as well as their generous hearts in actively contributing to society. This was done even when we had little certainty as to how we were going to pay the bills or buy the daily milk and bread.”


After he matriculated, he enlisted in the military. He did his first tertiary qualification, a diploma in management sciences, during military training.

“I remember working late at night on assignments under floodlights in the middle of winter while working guard duty at the military base.”

“I joined the military in 2001. There was a gruelling selection process. Five-thousand people were vying to gain one of eight scholarship seats to study medicine at the coveted University of Pretoria.”

Deeply committed to improving access to quality healthcare for South Africans dependent on the public health system, Prof Terrence Kommal has also embarked on a personal and professional journey to further develop his leadership capabilities to drive change. He was among one of the first to graduate as a Fellow of the Albertina Sisulu Executive Leadership Programme in Health (ASELPH), a joint initiative of the South African National Department of Health, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, University of Pretoria, and University of Fort Hare, which is designed to build the capacity of South Africa’s health leaders to drive health systems transformation.

He has qualifications, completed programmes and trainings from Harvard School of Public Health, Columbia University, London Business School, INSEAD, Mayo Clinic, University of Pretoria, University of Stellenbosch and Wits University.

Kommal, who did his post-graduate training in anaesthesia, said health-care collectively was a humbling experience.

“I realise that no matter how much we know, we learn every day how little we actually know about the marvel of the human body.”

Malik Mullino, CEO Jadeite Assets LLC, invests in a 90 Million Dollar Condo Project Coming to Newport Beach

California, United States of America – 26 March, 2021 – Retired Marine and CEO Jadeite Assets LLC, Malik Mullino, announced his latest collaboration with Irvine based Shop off Realty Investments as a part of a 1.25 billion dollar ace orchestrated development at Uptown Newport. The partnership constitutes the development of an opulent residence suite in Newport Beach worth 90 million dollars. Parkhouse Residences, a part of the Uptown Newport Planned Community, will be a 30 unit luxury residential community located on 1.528 acres in the Uptown Newport Development in Newport Beach, California.

The firm is building 30 condos among five buildings designed by WHA Architects; The community will include a combination of half-floor flats and two-story penthouses with starting prices of around $1.9 million. Blackband Design will be working on the interiors. The condos will feature oversized windows and seamless terraces, access to a lap pool and hot tub, a resort-inspired cabana, a fitness centre, private garages, direct elevator entry and a grassy village green.

The condos will be available for booking starting April 2021, with completion expected in late 2022.

The multi-membered K-pop boy group Omega X has signed a management contract in Japan before debut, putting them on track to become the next “K-Pop Avengers.”

Omega X’s agency Spire Entertainment announced on the 24th that “we have signed a management contract with Skiyaki Inc., the largest fan media platform in Japan.”

Skiyaki Inc. (3995:Tokyo) connects fans and artists through multiple services such as fan club, e-commerce, and ticket sales. It currently has over 3.8 million members and operates more than 570 fan club sites.

Omega X has scored a formal management contract as opposed to a simple contract with a company listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange before debut. This is considered arare accomplishment, especially given that Omega X is a rookie boy band with their debut date yet to be announced. The group is expected to stay active in Japan as well as in Korea.

“We have already signed an official contract in Japan before Omega X’s official debut. The band members are excited for the opportunity to perform in Japan as well as in Korea,” a Spire Entertainment official said. “They’re in full swing getting ready for the debut. Please show love and support for their upcoming debut in Korea and Japan.”

Omega X consists of the Greek alphabet Omega (Ω), which means the end, and X, which stands for the unknown. Omega X as a band name stands for entering uncharted territory in K-pop.

Omega X unveils all 11 members on March 26th, and is scheduled to debut in the first half of 2021.
